So, you want to make something, do you? Well, first and foremost, I must first define exactly what I mean when I say "invention." Some people belief that an invention is tangible, or rather, an actual item such as a computer or delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheesecake. This, however, is a common misconception; an invention is a new composition, device, or process. Therefore, the term covers any variety of things ranging from a bowling ball to the recipe for said delicious cheesecake. In the guild, this term will come to encompass any type of device, drug, poison, medicine, serum, body modification, tool or scientific process of which to reach a means to an end.
With that in mind, I will transition you into the ground rules on inventions, specifically rules that will prevent them from being unfair to everyone else.

Invention Rules
- No invention may have use to copy or enhance a Zanpakutō.
No invention may have use to specifically render another's abilities or powers useless.
All inventions should be within reason in terms of application in proportion to size and power used. For example, an artificial eye that magnifies sight should only go as far as the equipment running it would allow; i.e. binoculars are handheld and produce 7x magnification, whereas the Hubble Space Telescope can see out to a distance of several billions of light-years and is 24,500 lb and not so much hand-held. The same principle applies to material used and weight considerations; armor made of steel would reduce the wearer's speed.
All inventions should be useful to everyone and should not be beneficial to only a single person. Ask yourself this during the creation process; "is it possible for my invention to be used by someone else and for them to find use out of it?"
The following functional aspects of inventions for personal (fighting) use are banned:
- Reiatsu Manipulation
Manipulation or prevention of natural phenomena (naturally generated or not), i.e. gravity, weather, decay, volcanic eruptions.
Vehicles
Guns
Resonance Weaponry
Bio-Weaponry, i.e. Radiation, Electro-Magnetism, Contagions.
The following functional aspects of inventions for personal (fighting) use are restricted:
- Reishi Absorption
Reiatsu Erasure
Irregular movement through space, i.e Astral projection, Teleportation
Please assume, until further notice, that only those of the 12th Division can create anything.

The rings that Tsukiko wears are specifically built to absorb the bulk of her Reiryoku within them. Once these earrings are removed, the Reiryoku returns to her instantly. If the earrings are not removed for an extended period of time, they will convert the sealed Reiryoku into Reishi and release it into the environment. They are also able to rapidly absorb Hadō up to #70 and convert it into Reishi and release into the environment, and can function to change a physical object into a spiritual one, and vice versa, but converting Reishi into their Human World equivalent, Kishi.
