That's it, I'm gunna stop drinking for a few weeks while I focus on getting my game back, this is just getting embarrassing.
I know exactly everything I'm doing wrong, and before the holidays I knew how to do it all right, and execute it just fine, but ever since the holidays I haven't been able to play at 100% anymore. I'm not mid game scouting at all, I'm hesitating with almost every choice I make, I'm not being aggressive because I never have an idea of what my opponents are doing. My timings are way the hell off.
I've never before had a problem with choosing between drones or attacking units, but lately I find myself just spamming drones up until the 6 minute mark and then have nothing for the 7-8 minute push that inevitably comes and wipes my base.
All my control groups are way off, before the break I was using at least 6 control groups fairly effectively, now I'm down to like 1 that isn't even set properly half the time.
My apm before I left was pushing 100 comfortably, now it's around 70, I even lost to a 6 pool and a banshee rush today, it's been painful. Looks like it's back to the straight muta-ling ai and team league practice until I get my game back.

That blows, some days are just off days. I haven't played 1 v 1 in a long time, so the tourny is going to be more of a "Hope that I can still do this" than a, "Yeah, let's kick some a** and have some fun". Been playing other games too much to make time for SC >_<

Not gonna lie, I've only been practicing 2v2. I fell off in my skill level, I felt, and I sort of just stopped practicing the Mano-a-Mano portion...

Haaaa, you would destroy me. Especially since you play Terran and I suck vs T. I'm only decent against Protoss to be honest, and I still lost quite badly to one the other day in a pub game.

Well, any game for that matter. It's like all your tricks to pull off a win, and they can do it too. =/

gl but if you wanna get your skills back the only way is to 1v1 with more focus. playing vs the ai/2s/3s/4s will only rust you more.

amphetamine x love gl but if you wanna get your skills back the only way is to 1v1 with more focus. playing vs the ai/2s/3s/4s will only rust you more. Only if you're playing to win. My practice is seldom attempts at winning, in fact I'll usually set the ai to insane or something I know I wont beat, simply so I can't win. I then try to focus only on specific things, macro, constantly injecting larvae, always making units. Trying to get timings in my head better, spreading creep, forcing myself to take expansions, finding key locations on the maps, or becoming more familiar with different control group and hotkey set ups. Agreed, practising STRATEGY against computers is pointless, but practising basic fundamentals can be done really well on against ai or in team games. So long as you have no ambition to actually win, you can get lots of really good practice out.

Team games can also be more fun if that's what you're into.

Well I'm looking for people to practice against, 1v1. I'm not very good at all and I'm not even good at hotkeying or doing builds correctly yet. I lose basically every match and don't know how to add people. Any help for a sparring partner is appreciated. And I know how you feel. I rage quit all the time due to the fact I can't do any timing right at all... I have like 6 stalkers out and they have mass marauders and 3 battle cruisers :/
