...I'm thoroughly snowed into my apartment.
Every state in the Southeast except for Florida has declared a state of emergency. People are being pulled off the interstates and made to park at whatever exit they're at for the night.
And Wal-Mart closed at 5pm.
What a fun storm this is turning out to be.

I'm glad you are stuck in the apartment and not in a snowed in car or something. This is the worst I can remember the snow ever being. I am super happy I decided to wait to visit my family.

Well, we figured it was going to be bad when we actually had a white Christmas, something that hasn't happened in almost 50 years here.

Senshi of Death and Shadows
Oh wow. We didn't get as much snow, just a few flurries right now. But they did say we were going to get hit hard. Hopefully my school isn't going to be the only school open again tomorrow if we do get hit. I am Dark Sailor Blossom

Adrian, I'm praying we get through this intact. There's another storm that will affect us up north here coming in tomorrow.

Yeah... it's heading straight up, and New York is gonna get slammed by three separate storms over the course of three days. So I'm a little bit worried =/
Yeah, we have 8 inches of snow, bordered on either side by a quarter-inch of ice. And it's supposed to rain tomorrow, and freeze again tomorrow night.

I hope it doesn't hit us in Maryland, we got pummeled last year the record last year for total accumulation for the winter was like 50 some inches or something like that they declared a state of emergency and banned people from using the roads unless it was an emergency if it wasn't and they pulled them over they'd get escorted back to their homes but not before getting a ticket or some sort of fine
then the national guard and the red cross came out
I had never seen so much snow
I hope you guys are safe, and just hopefully whenever this is over it will melt somewhat soon

DOT is still trying to scrape and treat the roads, but it's slow going. For right now, the roads are drivable, and I'm hoping they still will be when I leave for work tonight. I'm even leaving four hours early just to make sure I can get there. Even if I have to walk.
