Things were going smoothly with [Gabi] giving the story, but by the time it was over and by the time Dakota was telling her that things were okay and whatnot, it was all just ready to burst. The first thing to happen of that one eventful moment was that [Gabi] had went to speak, but was cut off before her eyes rolled into the back of her head and... yeah, she was basically unconscious. It caught the blonde off guard, and he blinked a few times before those blue eyes widened in a bit of panic; and he stood. From there on out, [Kiah] had come into the doorway and requested his attention, that [Sabine] had wanted him. Of course, the alpha was sort of pissy by now, considering he had an unconscious warrior on the bed before him and the doctor needing him in another room. Needless to say, it was all taken care of in due time. He got the stories, he helped with whatever was needed, and when it was all said and done... people were taken care of and Dakota was fully informed by each pack member about the excitements of the day - including the failure to find the rogue and female.
It had been within the next couple days, though, that Dakota had made quite a few confrontations with Lucas for multiple things. One for the whole episode with Gabi, one for the whole thing of Lucas thinking he would be at Gabi's side the entire time, and another for neglecting the fact that everyone was to be responsible for babysitting [Madison] when need be, and Lucas just didn't seem up to it. Regardless, the warrior had gotten on Dakota's last nerve, and within a few days of everything happening... Lucas was taken down. The fight didn't take long, as Dakota went strictly for the throat while in human form and was quick to take the warrior out. Of course, he made sure that the rest of the pack had seen it (or most of them), and had made sure they understood that this was an example. Lucas had failed to follow orders, and he had attempted to overstep his boundaries. With that, he was punished... with death. And although many of the other members in the south pack were far more valuable (or something along those lines), Dakota was quick to point out that any of them could end up like Lucas, but the way to avoid that would be do what they were supposed to do.
Dakota was a tall man; standing around 6'4" with a thin, lean body. He was quick on his feet, but it was clear he had a thick layer of muscle that rolled beneath his skin when he moved. His aggressive facial features and postures showed his dominance in everything he did; and his words were almost always aggressive and serious. All in all, the man knew how to intimidate people. And although some of his pack members may not have taken his warning as seriously as they should, they all should have known that there was no lycan in his pack that would be spared unless it was his daughter. Hell, if [Sara] were to even do something that had really sent him over the edge and it would cause harm to his daughter or his pack, Dakota wouldn't hesitate to kill her. Sure, the man loved her to death and it was much too obvious, but when it came to survival... Sara was just another player in the game. A player that got special treatment, of course.. but in the end, if she betrayed him or something along those lines, she was just going to have to be eliminated.
[AFTER TIME SKIP]
By the time the week had passed, many things had gotten done. Dakota was keeping an eye on [Sadie], taking notice of her talents and trying to figure out where to place her within the pack. She was a valuable asset, there was no doubt about that. And she had already showed her skills in scouting and fighting... so the only thing left to do was to observe her a bit more and figure out just where he could use her. She would be a good scout or warrior, of course, but there were still other ranks in his pack to be filled... ranks that needed to be taken over before there was another confrontation between the two packs. But really, it was still being thought on.
The sun was shining bright through the windows of the bedroom, and Dakota was just getting fed up with the damn rays coming in through the blinds as if they owned the place. The male had huffed a few times, rolling around in his bed as if whatever way he shifted would really block out the light. But in the end, nothing seemed to help, and he had probably already disturbed [Sara] a million times by now. So, without continuing on with his tossing and turning, the alpha just decided it was a good enough time to get out of bed. He grabbed some jeans and threw them on, then gave his mate a deep kiss before disappearing out the door. Of course, he would usually take her with him when he left, but right now he just wasn't too concerned with it. She seemed tired, and the man had woken up in a good mood today... so why not be a little bit on the nice side? And letting her sleep was a nice thing to do, right? Heh.
Slipping out the door, Dakota froze in his steps as there were light sounds coming from down the hallway. The male blinked a few times, one eyebrow cocking up some as he glanced around with his icy gaze. The sounds were coming from not too far off, and there was no doubt that Dakota was going to go investigate. Yet, as he took a few steps down the hallway and went to turn the corner... he stopped. The sounds grew closer from around the corner, and rather than walking to see where they were coming from, he let the sounds come to him. Without a doubt, they came around the bend, only to reveal the one and only scout, [Luna]. Blinking a few times, Dakota's eyebrow cocked up again and he just sort of... stared at her. "...How old are you again?" The question was mean, no doubt, but that was really just his personality...
