For my upcoming contest, I will need judges. Donations are welcome.
It opens on the 14th and lasts until February 14th. The theme, of course, is romance. The prompt is to write a love poem without using any of the love-themed 'banned words' list that will be put up on the 10th (to prevent early starters). The purpose of the contest is to encourage the use of imagery rather than rely on cliches.
If you feel qualified, please PM me with either a sample of your poetry or a sample or your poetry critique, preferably of a poem by a well-known poet, such as John Donne, Lord Byron, Shakespeare etc. Poets such as Edgar Allen Poe and Emily Dickinson are also okay, though classical poets preferred. I will decide whether or not you are suited to judge, though bribes and donations toward prizes will help. Note that judges may NOT enter the competition.
