Today was the day, the day that Alan was able to go to the greatest place on Earth. Well, he wasn't sure yet but he had a really good idea about how it was going to go. He'd already thumbed through most of his text books, reading up on some of the magic that he'd be doing. He'd also delved a good ways into Hogwarts: A History during the month he had since purchasing his books. There were so many fascinating things about where Hogwarts, but he didn't understand a bit of it. Like, what was Apparation and Disapparition? He was positive that someone would be able to explain it to him when he arrived at the school.
He was in the back of his parents car, being driven towards King's Cross Station. Arya, his beautiful Siamese, was sitting on his lap comfortably. He was nervous, which was to be expected. He was about to jump head first into a world that he'd never been in before, something he'd never have imagined just a few months before. It was rough, to say the least, but he knew that he'd have little trouble. A few moments later, his parents and himself pulled up to the station. They parked and his father went to get a trolley for Alan.
A short time later, his father returned with the trolley and they loaded his school trunk onto it. His hugged his father and accepted a kiss from his mother. "Bye mum and dad, I'll write to you as often as I can." He waved and picked up Arya, placing her on the top of the luggage trolley. She looked a little agitated but didn't feel like exploring, so Alan smiled reassuringly to her. "Don't worry, Arya. I won't let them jinx you." He pushed on into the station and looked around for what was called Platform Nine and Three-quarters.
Between platforms nine and ten, there were three pillars so Alan reasoned that the third pillar was where he needed to be. And sure enough, he saw a few people take a running go at the pillar and disappear through it. So he pushed a little further and stared at the barrier. A few people walked by but they didn't take any notice of Alan. So he pushed the cart to the barrier and felt no resistance when he touched the wall. He willed himself forward and only turned his head away as he passed through the pillar and emerged on the other side.
Alan's breath caught in his throat as he opened his eyes to behold the site rolled out in front of him. A scarlet and obsidian steam engine was sitting there, smoke billowing out at regular intervals. There were witches and wizards everywhere, quite a few looked to be about his age too. He picked up Arya, who proceeded to climb up to his shoulder, and his trunk. He liked magic already, he shouldn't have been able to even lift the large trunk but it didn't feel to weigh more than twenty pounds. He stepped onto the engine with a grin, walking back through the cars until he spotted an empty one towards the back. He pulled the door open and stuff the trunk in the overhead compartment, after removing his Standard Book of Spells: Grade One, while Arya curled up in his lap.

:Jude Tanner: They were finally there, Jude and his parents had finally arrived at the train station that would take the boy away on a new adventure for the entire school year. Once his dad had unlocked the car door a boy of twelve years crawled out of the little sedan and into the parking lot. He was not any great sight to behold only standing at about five foot one and skinny as a branch, but his brilliantly colored red spiky hair was sure to make him stand out in a crowd. "Well Jude are you ready for the greatest time of your life?" His dad was almost as excited as Jude was, nine moths without their son meant there would be peace and quite around the house, of course he would have to get him there first. Jude nodded as the pair of them loaded his trunk onto one of the trolleys. Jude could see his mum trying her best not to cry in front of him, she was being strong so he didn't have to worry about her while he was gone. "Mum it'll be alright, it's only for nine months and I can come home at break if you want me to. Please don't cry though I don't think I could stand that today." His mother ran over to her son and gave him a big hug, "Don't worry I'll wait until you've gone to turn on the water works, besides it'll do us good to be rid of your terror for a few months, let someone else deal with you I say." Both Jude and his mother let off a little chuckle as she tried to make light of the situation. His dad placed a hand on Jude's shoulder, "Well we best be off then, we wouldn't want to miss the train now would we?" Jude and his mother both wiped the tears from their eyes and gave him a little grin knowing full well that train couldn't go anywhere without him at it's controls. "Right'o then it's off to Hogwarts!"
The trio hurried off toward the platform with Jude's Father in his uniform leading the way, being that he was one of the conductors for the Hogwarts Express he had been down this hall many times before. "Let's hurry gang it's just down hear, platform nine and three-quarters. Alright Jude do you remember how this works, I know it's been a while since I brought you to work with me?" Jude tried to think back to that day but his memory seemed to be drawing a blank, "Sorry dad but I guess it's been to long, why don't you show me." The man gave him a nod and stopped in between platforms nine and ten, "Alright you two just follow my lead,...one...two...threeeee!!!" Jude's dad ran at full speed toward the wall, normal Jude would have thought that his dad had lost his marbles and was gonna run straight into a wall, but having grown up around magic his whole life he knew that not everything was as it seemed. His dad disappeared with a little pop right through the wall. Judes mom looked down at him, "Right then dear, are you ready to go?...Ok hear it is then...one...two...threeeee!!!" The two of them were off, following the mans path right through the wall. As they reached the other side Jude took a look around as all the memories of this place came racing back to him. There at the center of it all stood the train, a beautiful masterpiece of a machine, that seemed to go one forever. Students where already loading up their stuff and boarding the train so Jude thought it best if he followed their lead. "Well Mum, Dad, this is the part where I say my farewells. Dad you drive safe...and Mum I'll see you soon enough, but try not to have too much fun without me. Goodbye" Jude picked up his trunk and hurried toward the train.
This quick departure had Jude thinking back to when this had all started just a few weeks back, it seemed like everything had happened so fast since then. After being accepted Jude's parents took him down to Diagon Alley so he could purchase the supplies he would need for school. He went back over the list in his mind to make sure he hadn't forgotten anything, Robes, books, wand, and whatever those other things were, I'm sure I've got them all. His mum had been very helpful with the whole process even though she seemed to think he was dieing or something. It had been a quick few weeks as he had to pack up his stuff and brush up on some of the things his parents had taught him to help him prepare for Hogwarts. What had made the time go by the fastest was the sheer fear of uncertainty Jude had been feeling toward the whole ordeal. Jude, although normally brave in most of his endeavors was a little uneasy about this one. Although he was a full-blood wizard he had never really spent any time with other wizards his age and usually felt more comfortable around Muggles. He knew this was something he would have to get over sooner or latter so he decided to make a new friend as soon as possible.
Jude boarded the train right behind a few older students and followed them down the narrow hall. Jude planned to find someone around his age to be friends with but he didn't want to meet too many people at once. As he moved past the compartments he noticed most of them were already full with students ready for the trek. He kept moving toward the end until he reached a cart that only contained one tenet and a cat. The young man was reading Standard Book of Spells: Grade One telling Jude that he would be in his grade range. Jude saw this as his opportunity, knocking on the door he entered and greeted the boy. "Hi there, I'm Jude Henry Tanner the third, but you can just call me Jude. I saw you sitting here all alone and I was wondering if I might join you on this train ride?" Jude held out his hand in greeting and gave a little nervous smile followed by a forced grin.

Alan lifted his eyes from his book and extended his hand, clasping Jude's with a firm grip. "I'm Alan Richards, this your first year too? And nah, I don't mind if you sit with me." He closed his book, stowing it back into his trunk in the compartment overhead. Arya, not happy with Alan moving, jumped to the seat beside him and laid herself down. Alan sat back down, sliding Arya's tail out of the way so she wouldn't get mad at him. He looked at Jude, taking note of his features so that he'd be able to recognize him later. He was a bit taller than Alan, with short and spiky red hair. He wore glasses and had sharp features, which gave Alan the impression that the boy was intelligent.
Alan was still amazed at everything, looking all around the cabin. It looked just like a normal train, but he could feel there was something different. "I still can't believe magic is real, this is surreal." He laid his head back against the seat, still trying to process it all. It still felt like it was all just one really, really crazy dream and he was going to wake up any minute. He hoped not, it might make him cry if that were the case.

~Krystian Erika Moore~ Kryssie Moore walked away from the portal onto platform 9 3/4. She had been waiting for this day for a while, and it had finally arrived. Kryssie pushed the trolly with all of her stuff towards the train, a large smile plastered on her face. She waited to see where other first years were heading, and then followed suit, lifting her trunk, to her surprise, with ease onto the train, her black cat Adelaide in a cat carrier.
Kryssie passed a load of cars that didn't look to inviting. She walked farther back on the train and found there were more First years back here. She knocked on the windoe of a random car, it just happening to be the same one as Alan and Jude. "May I sit here with you guys?" Kryssie asked quietly, giving the two guys a soft, shy smile.
