You are the apple...
My mom and her friend have known each other since high school and so us kids (myself and her daughter and two sons) basically grew up together as "cousins". Then, when my mom went through some mental medical issues and in turn started living with my dad full time, i didnt see them for about 5 years.
Just in the past half a year or so, I've been visiting them again under my own power. Well the daughter (the oldest) is now 16 and since the first time she saw me these past few months, shes developed a liking for me. She tries to hide by calling me her "brother" but its completely obvious to everyone around her.
My question: Should i let it go and fizzle out over time, or should i talk to her about it?
and I am your core.

Personally I would wait it out unless you share some sort of similar feelings in which case I believe the best decision is to confront her

I would talk about it if it is making interacting with her difficult or awkward. But I definitely wont just let it smolder out. If you act clueless, then sometimes their affections can grow even more.

I definitely dont feel the same way. My feelings are strictly platonic. However, i dont really care what she does (i let her sit on my lap, snuggle next to me, she was even playing with my hair a bit the last time i was there) just as long as its not too far (no kissing, etc.). My only fear with that is she might take it as me wanting that attention.
And i dont feel at all awkward around her because of it.
and I am your core.

and I am your core. Does she know that your feelings are 'strictly platonic'? Otherwise you come off as maybe wanting/liking the attention [deja vu, don't ask] or just flat out leading her on. [of course leading her on, that is only if she doesn't know that your feelings are 'strictly platonic'. (I like quoting that xD)]

That would involve confronting her about it?

Well if its a teen crush thing, I'm sure she'll grow out of it when you don't return her affection. I don't know if you'd want to confront her about it cause it might really make it awkward for her the next time she's interested in someone.

Try to avoid crushing her heart but you really can't let that continue if you have no interest in her. Just make your feelings clear.
