So in community band we were playing a song called Clarinet Polka and I was like this sounds familiar so i think about it and Bam it comes to me it sounds just like the Candy Mountain song from Charlie the Unicorn 1 haha so I now know where they got the song from.
So has anyone else had this happen to them?

Totally ^_^ A couple days ago in our book, there was a piece that was called "Super Secret Mission" and I scanned through it, thinking "No big deal," because I'm in drumline. When we played as a band, everyone started saying "Ooooooh!" at once because it all hit us, knowing it was the theme to James Bond xD

i do that a lot. and then sometimes I find performances of this cool college band that i hope to one day be part of. One time i was watching that and they started playing this familiar song. Sogn name comes up. We played that same song in regionals the year before! Next song was the same thign. we had played two of their songs in regionals. Which amde me nearly squeal in ahppiness. Especially because i loved those two songs (English Folk Suite and Commando March, both of which i forget the composers)
And then we were playig this song called Midnight Escape in middle school. Pretty uuch James Bond jst with a different note range.
Yet another time, during a concert band festival, I was listenign to onedecent band and I recognixzed their piece. I still cant put my figner on what piece it was, but I know I've played it before. I wanna say it was Holst, but it seems like it was the same melody as Fantasia of the Dargason with a different background(Simple gifts but over a different original melody kinda thing)
