My Predictions For The Next 10 Years!

(This is from 2010)

Now that we are in 2010, people are asking how things will change in the next decade. Over the past decade we have seen the rise and expansion of social networks, green energy, new architecture, increasingly intelligent AI, computerized edcuation, and the like...Here is my prediction: WW3 is unlikely but there will be many more small wars, sustainable development and green cities will become a more common sight, genetic engineering will conquer a couple of diseases that have proven diffucult for us to fight, man will have returned to the moon, the economies of the world will eventually recover but I fear that America's will be scarred and still in debt, the world's first completely robotic theme park will have opened in South Korea, Space tourism will become more widely affordable but will still be out of reach for most, factory related industry will become practically obsolete, a woman will be elected president, over half of the earth's population will speak english (consequently, many people that speak english as their native language will speak 1 or 2 other languages in increasing amounts), flexible LCD and such will result in screens being able to appear on an increasing amount of various surfaces, virtual reality will be more widely incorporated into movies, video games, learning, etc, textbooks will come very close to disappearing in the more upscale schools, robotic doctors, nurses, police, teachers, and such will be more common in richer nations, the first holograms COULD appear, chalkboards will disappear from most developed nations altogether being replaced by projection screens and Smart Boards, and finally Fossil Fuels will obviously still be the primary source for energy BUT other methods such as Solar, Wind, Hydroelectric, etc. will begin to pop up in developed nations in larger amounts and may begin to appear in developing nations to some extent...

Your thoughts?

Keep in mind, a lot of this is counting on economic improvement which would result in more money in the science and technology fields down the line...
