Personality
At her core, Aurella is an individual who is neither simple nor complicated. On the surface, she is a genuine person. She won't set out to deceive someone by pretending to be happy when she isn't, and you'd be hard pressed to find her capable of truly disliking anyone. She likes almost everyone she's ever met, and will do anything in her power to keep her friends happy. Her sense of affection knows no bounds, and she doesn't think it at all strange to cuddle with those she cares about in public. And no amount of telling her otherwise would sway her opinion on this.
While an adult in body and in some aspects also of mind, Aurella clings desperately to a childishness that she should have outgrown long ago. It is easy for her to place her trust and faith in others, and even easier for others to take advantage of her. If she is told something by someone she trusts, she'll believe it no matter how absurd it may be. And any favors asked of her by "friends" are almost always granted if they're within her ability. Much of this is because she is naive, and no amount of growing seems to have changed this.
But despite this, Aurella never seems to be let down when her trust is broken. She is known to give third, fourth, and even fifth chances without a second thought. She is an eternal optimist, and wouldn't dare think of the glass as anything but absolutely full.
History
Aurella has been privileged her entire life, and knows nothing but a life of royalty. As a child, she got whatever her heart desired. That brand new toy was never very far from her grasp, and she could have asked for any kind of pet and likely would have gotten it. She grew up with no siblings to speak of, and never had to want for her parents' affections.
During her youth, she grew particularly close to the only cousin she had around her age, another young girl by the name of Alice. The two of them were virtually inseparable as children, and it was a given that if Alice or Aurella were to do something the other would tag along without a second thought. This relationship withstood the test of time, and the two are still good friends to this day.
When Aurella was finally old enough to take her place as the new head of her royal line, her parents did one last thing with their power. It had become clear that despite her physical maturity, their daughter was almost stuck in a more immature and childish frame of mind. While this would be fine were she younger, it was jeopardizing to her safety due to her royal blood. She didn't have the proper judgment to determine if someone meant her harm.
It was for this reason that they hired a fellow royal by the name of Arthur Knightly to act as a guard to her, ensuring her safety and that their own line would have a good chance at continuing.

Extra: Aurella has a very mild case of OCD and absolutely refuses to wear anything that is not pure white - the only exception to this is for accessories like her belt and tiara. She's also taken a shine to chess, and will watch people play even though she has absolutely no clue how to follow the game. She has a pet Housoul by the name of Dhaval, whom she can often be seen pampering.
