Silver Adriens strode through the empty hall that led to the school gate. He was finally free after many years of studying, his professors satisfied enough to let him graduate. He paused for the last time within the school, taking in the sights and sounds of the ornate foyer where students were accepted. "15 years" he said as he counted back to when he himself was enrolled.

As the doors parted before Silver, his eyes winced. They were not used to light, actual sunlight. After years of living in the cold and dark training rooms of the aquamancy department he could finally feel warmth. With much enthusiasm, he left the academy and went on his way. Back to his home, to his parents. He was going to show them his new skills, his blue robes and his sharp and pointy staff.

When he arrived, he was met by disappointment. The place he called home has changed, its usual calm and well kept state replaced by plants and rotting wood. No one was home. His parents were gone, no one knew where they went. He asked around, but everyone said the same thing. "They left..."
