Original Criminal
Name: Silox
Gender: Male
Crime: Silox ran a special traveling spaceship compound where kidnapped and secretly bought children were drained of their vitality and emotions in various ways. These essences were then sold on to customers; except for the cases of when customers paid to be there while children were siphoned in special performances. Unfortunately for Silox one of his business partners eventually grew a conscience and ratted out the facility. The next time the ship entered a policed quadrant of space it was quickly surrounded by authorities and boarded. Despite his attempt to escape into a new body Silox was captured and sent to Gaia.
Shortened Crime for Certing Purposes: Abducting children for Harvest!
Physical Description: Silox in his natural form is a silvery mist about the size of an adult human male’s fist. In order to physically affect anything he must inset himself into the body of another and seize control of it.
Name and Brief Description of Home Planet: Phenast
Phenast is a literal graveyard planet, a place where the bodies of those on neighbouring planets who die and are unclaimed are buried for convenience sake. For reasons no one quite knows, as bodies decompose there they form a sentient mist, a sort of second soul born of the body’s final death. These mist spirits are known as Phenastians and are capable of communicating telepathically with other beings. They cannot however gain a form of their own and must inhabit that of another to have limbs and senses like touch and taste.
It is not by force that they gain these bodies though, instead those who wish to die but do not want to take their own lives come to Phenast. They allow Phenastians to enter their bodies and merge with them. The hosts mind eventually fades away leaving only the integrated Phenastian controlling the body and any assets the host may have left behind. Phenastians can choose to disengage from a body and be free floating mist again but this is difficult if they have spent a great deal of time inside the body. Bodies that have been abandoned often die afterward as they simply become comatose.
Phenast is part of a relatively small system with only three other inhabited planets within close travel distance. All three neighbors boast words similar to modern day Earth in variety of flora, fauna and the beliefs of the peoples that inhabit them. These planets simply have more advanced technology than that of modern day Earth. Phenast itself is closer to the planet we knew as Mars, dusty and barren, it shows signs of life that was billions of years ago but any atmosphere that allowed normal living things to flourish was stripped away long ago. It is now only hospitable to Phenastians, microbes and bacteria as well as people wearing special suits
Personality, Powers, and Anything Else You Deem Necessary:
Personality:Silox was a greedy and self serving being. Sure he gave the old and infirm access to the essence of youth to keep them happy but it was only because they gave him money for it. Much of his experimenting was so that he could experience as much of the world as fast as possible without risking his current body. Ingesting pure fear or adrenaline was exhilarating for him and much safer than having to perform behaviours that might actually let him feel them for real. Other things like understanding tactile sensation was something Silox indulged himself in. He kept several pets purely for the ability to touch them from time to time and wonder at how sensitive his body was to things like bumpy skin, scales and fur. Once deprived of so much in his natural form Silox took great advantage of what he could do with a body.
For all that he thought mainly of himself Silox was not cruel to his captives. They cost good money after all and he made sure they were well fed and entertained. They were less than people to him in the fact that he saw them as property but they were still living thinking beings and Silox afforded them many privileges and civilities because of that. You couldn’t have called him a good man because of this but he walked a personal moral line and it worked for him.
Socially Silox was pleasant enough although he tended mainly to associate with people he felt were of use to him. He came off as a well spoken and ambitious person with just enough charm to not irritate potential friends. He was very good at understanding people and figuring out how to appeal to their baser natures much as he indulged in his own.
Powers:Um nothing beyond his ability to swap bodies.
