I just got finished watching Inception, and I couldn't help but glow with pride that the lead female's name was Ariadne. When I thought about her role in the operation, it was apparent that she was living her namesake's role for Theseus. She played both Daedalus and Ariadne while DiCaprio's character played the part of Theseus...to a point.

The weird thing was that her name fit so easily with the other names that it just rolled off the tongue.
What names would you feel comfortable using in today's modern society? Though it is Roman, Diana has been used numerous times.

I got Vasilisa, which is actually Greek for Queen(I can't tell if its medieval greek or ancient greek, though!)

Odd, i know a friend by the name of Diana, somewhere.

I wonder if the capitol of France was named after Paris of Troy, in any way, shape, or form.
Or was it just a fluke?

What a beautiful name!
That would be an interesting topic to do some research on!

That would be cool thing to research in my opinion. I never even that Paris, France might be named after Paris of Troy. Anyway, I don't really know a lot of Greek names, though one of my best friends is named Ariadne, but everyone calls her Ari for short.

Ancient greek arcetecture shows up everywhere, so why shouldn't the names? I love the Ancient greek names, they are so beautiful and almost poetic. While now, most names are just two names blended together,
