Muir Island
This is where Xavier sends his more powerful mutant students along with those that do not have the ability to control their powers. Xavier's ex-wife and son live here. His son has to have his powers dampened or else he’ll die, thus he cannot leave the compound.

Kesho Higashi, Gambit, Colossus, and Banshee were all sitting in the rec room, playing a game of cards when Xavier called them and a few of the others into a meeting. They quickly left and moved to the area they were told. There they met up with Jean Grey, Storm, Cyclops, and Iceman. Professor Xavier was standing at the front of the debriefing room when they got there. There he motioned for everyone to sit down.
He informs them that the system that is monitoring the New York school has found that someone has gotten a lot of the systems up and running again. He’s done a scan of the school and found that there are three confirmed mutants in the school at this time. He needs them to accompany him there just in case these are hostile mutants. He’ll be able to tell more when they get closer. Xavier then rolled out of the room and towards the bay where the Black Bird has been staying. Everyone follows, boarded the plain, and headed out.
