Welcome back! When we last left off it had seemed that all was well on Earth. A lasting peace settled upon the land after Goku's departure with the Eternal Dragon. Now nearly three hundred years after his disappearance the Dragonballs have returned. After this much time they have all but been forgotten. Most of our old pals have moved onward to the afterlife and have fairly significant places up there as well, but there are still a few that stick around.
Take Majin Buu for instance. Poor guy felt lonesome after his little puppy and Hercule died, but ended up creating a wife named Booby to fill whatever hole he hand in that big belly of his. Together the two of them have created a fairly large family of Majins, but none are quite as strong as Buu himself. There is speculation from scientists that have taken interest in this field that perhaps the Majin power is all connected and with each new generation their powers seem slightly more watered down then the last.
Piccolo is still alive, but he isn't the only Namekian to populate the Earth anymore. The New Namekian planet also met a untimely fate and the entire race was left to return to the now diverse Earth. By now many had forgotten of King Piccolo so these Namekians weren't looked at as outcasts, though that didn't stop the occasional green joke from flying at the local bar.
Oh, lets not forget our old pals Krillin and Tien! Both re-established their respective schools for Martial Arts which left a lasting legacy before they departed the world at their ripe old age. Their schools are now known for producing many of today's finer Martial Artists. I think that Old Turtle Hermit must be pretty proud that his legacy still lives on.
Of the Saiyan Race that is all but extinct there lay a few hybrids still on the planet. Most of them do not have enough Saiyan blood within them to even know what they are, but it is still a culture full of pride regardless. Goten and Trunks lived out their lives as best of pals and established a the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School.
The son of our hero, Gohan, went on to write a book that explained ki control to the general public. Most don't put much behind his work, as they don't put enough hard work to be able to produce a visible version of ki, but it has attracted a larger number of attendees at the Tenkaichi Budokai each year.
Of Goku, no one has seen him since. His few lasting relatives say that he bonded with the Eternal Dragon and therefore became immortal himself. Some say he's still alive training on some distant planet awaiting the time he is needed again. I think he is somewhere off in the afterlife smiling down on the now peaceful land he once called home.
But now that the Dragonballs have returned.... Will the peace persist? Stay tuned til next time on Dragon Ball: Eternal Reflection!!!
