 Of all the impetuous little...
Mary took a deep cleansing breath. In out, in out. She was immortal, there was no reason what so ever to let herself get worked up. Still. It seemed like she had been running into a lot of odd Soqs recently. Almost as if she were being the one tested.
She shook her head to clear it. That was simply not possible. She was a Goddess. No one tested her. If she was having a string of bad luck, then it was up to her to use her power and correct it. She had to, her children were counting on her, after all. Mission reaffirmed in her mind, she tossed her mane back, bloody locks pasting their way against her flesh.
The small servant raccoon tapped Mary's leg softly. It knew better then to make a sound when she was deep in thought. It was a good little apostle. She glanced up and saw Annika. A smile pulled back on Mary's lips. One of her children. At last.
Mary nodded to Taphos and the small familiar scampered into the bushes to hide. And to prepare. Mary schooled her expression into seriousness, and silently walked towards her child. The mirror glided until it was in front of Annika, and Mary positioned herself so that when the other looked up, Mary would be over her shoulder in the reflection. All was as it should be. There was a ritual to observe, after all.

 Sunshine..silence.
Perfection really or at least to the gray and white female it was a delightful perfection she always longed for.
The quiet wind female had been rather content moving through the grass, and trees to explore the area. Traveling through the land meant seeing new places, not that Annika didn't mind.
She preferred to be left alone though company wouldn't be terrible. The weather felt fair and, she sensed no danger or..at least Annika thought she sensed none.
Yet, after a moment of quiet grazing her gaze flicker up to the mirror. Where had that come from? Startled she took the moment to stare within the magically appearing mirror. The image reflected somewhat startled the female making her tail twitch but, she stood with a false sense of bravery. "Who are you?"
Never had Annika seen such a...strange devious looking...creature. It frightened her but, she wouldn't run..no that would be cowardly and weak!
Her mind screamed 'Idiot! Move, run get out of there!' Yet, the slightly stubborn strong willed female stood her ground, her eyes never leaving the other she saw. The one that looked so bloody.
What would anyone wish with her? The simple quiet female who traveled and searched for something she had yet to find. Calming her slightly erratic heartbeat; Annika kept her gaze locked with the bloody female's hoping that maybe if she acted strong enough the other might just leave.

Dark Goddess? Annika's ears flicked nervously her eyes worriedly flickering back to the apparently insane mare. Just her luck..to run into a crazy deranged maniac on her journey. "I would hope you could hear my heart beat..I am no child. I do not need help from the likes of you.." Snorting softly Annika moved a little turning to try and face the strange..creature? Surely there weren't others like the bloodied creepy female, if there were she did not wish to meet them.

"If you are not one of my children, you waste my time," Mary snarled angrily. "What was it with all of these feathered freaks? Is it something about pinions that drives my voice from your mind?" Mary advanced, using her mirror to block retreat. "Perhaps if the feathers were removed...."

Eyes narrowing Annika tried to stay strong but, things were getting increasingly worse. "You are the one that made the mistake so how is it that I waste your time?" Snorting faintly she again tried to move away heart suddenly hammering a bit too quickly. Her feathers? Ears falling back against her head Annika flinched away, body now trembling more noticeably. "D-don't get any closer! I meant I do not like being around..less sane individuals. I meant nothing about your certain..breed."

Mary continued to advance, her dark eyes flashing. "You seem at moments almost like one of my children, yet you speak so disrespectfully, what ever is a Goddess to do?" she asked darkly as she bore down on the feathered mare.

What was with this mare? Backing up as far as she could go Annika tried to think of a way out of this. The word goddess had her ears pinning back once more, her wings tensing against her body. "I-i mean no disrespect! I am no ones child!"

Annika couldn't take anymore of the madness. She snapped and, knew she would regret her words as soon as they left her mouth. "What goddess?! All I see standing here..would be myself and a..slightly..insane mare."

"Taphos!" Mary snapped, as if the word were a spell. It certainly had power. As she snapped it, the small familiar launched itself onto Annika's back. Mary's eyes flashed with ire. "You are a fool," Mary all but purred, "and I do not waste my magic on fools. You shall feel my vengeance all the same."

Panicking slightly Annika tried to find some route for escape but, seeing none the mare turned to face her now..possible attacker. The familiar had her flinching with the urge to buck..to try and, kick the beast off. "W-why can't you just let me leave? I only speak the truth! If anyone is a fool it's you!"

The familiar dug in, refusing to be budged.
"A fool? A fool am I, you pathetic mortal? I shall show you the penalty of projecting your failings onto the divine." Mary's eyes shone with malice and insanity. "The feathers." Puzzling words? Perhaps.
Until the familiar moved, however. Small paws buried themselves in wings and started pulling, trying to pluck the Soq who had offended her Deity bald.

Annika had to get out of there..her heart hammered even more so and, she feared it might just burst free from her chest. A yelp left her at the sudden stinging pain of a feather being plucked out by the devious little familiar. Again Annika shook her body and, stretched out her wings to their full breadth, trying to shake the little beast. "Get off me! The only pathetic one is you...attacking the innocent and..being..insane." Stamping a hoof Annika jerked back and tried to start flying but, without a nice bit of running start she only rose a few feet in the air, then landed again on her feet in about the same place. Irritation and, panic filled her eyes there could only be one more option to get the little beast off. It might hurt but, Annika felt a bit too panicked to care. She let her legs give out and fell over rubbing her back and wings on the ground as if she had an itch. "Take that get off! Off you little demon!" If this didn't work Annika..didn't know what would.

Fury rose in Mary higher then Annika had been able to lift off the ground. Each word stoked the flames of fury higher.
The familiar would not be moved, clinging to pinions, pulling on them, clinging some more. She seemed to have no fear of being carried away in Annika's brief attempt to fly, and had just dug in, letting claws pierce flank where need be. And then Annika had dropped. The familiar had dug in stronger in surprise, but was jostled. rolling onto her back was the final straw and the small raccoon flew free to land in the bushes.
Mary, with more calm then she felt, walked to the rolling mare and casually laid a hoof over the blood red mane of the fallen, pinning her with a single step. "That was foolish," she told the winged mare cooly.
