- Fionna had been born in Dublin, Ireland. She lived there throughout her childhood. Fionna grew up with magic and muggle ways because her parents were wizards, but her mother was a muggleborn. Fionn, her father, spent a lot of time with his children.He especially liked Riley and Fionna. The three of them often disappeared for hours during which he taught them to sketch, draw, paint, study detail, and play piano. All this time together created a bond between the three of them. Simon was fascinated by muggle things and therefore he grew attached to their muggleborn mother. The final member of the family never exactly fit in with the rest of them. He preferred to work on projects and limited his fun, or perhaps he had fun being serious. Every night Fionn would sing an Irish lullaby to Fionna, even when she was older.
Their lives were perfect, but since when do perfect lives stay that way? It certainly did not last for the O'Sullivans. When Fionna was ten, the downfall of Voldemort had occurred. FIonn was called as an auror to help collect known death eaters. What was thought to be an easy job turned into a disaster when the group of aurors walked into an ambush. Three of the five aurors were killed including Fionn. News reached the O'Sullivans very quickly and they were devastated. The family moved permanently to their second home in Britain. Fionna started to use her middle name, Sparrow, claiming her first name was too similar to her fathers. Riley joined the auror force after school and Dina went on with the feeling that a part of herself would be missing forever. Years later, the O'Sullivans are only just beginning to accept Fionn's death and Sparrow is thinking about returning to the use of her real name.
Fionna has been convinced to return to her birth name and is ever so glad that she did. She has broken up with her old boyfriend Caiden after finding him kissing his ex. She found letters expressing love and ended it then and there. Since returning to Hogwarts, she has been able to become just friends with Caiden again and has found a new friend, Lucas, whom she really loves. He seems to be holding a secret and she is determined to find out what that secret is.
