'Her body is hot, breaths rasping and aching. Her throat is closing, cutting off air. Her breath comes out in fog, however she can hardly breath. Blue eyes struggle to hold onto the small amount of sight she has, the edge of the world turning black. Her body aches, screams in pain as she tries to hold on. One more snow. Before she dies, that all she wants. To see it snow one more time.
Please...
Just one more snowfall.

Amy let out a cry as she woke from her dream, the blind vixen stumbling as she flew herself upwards. A paw whipped away tears, shaking her head free from the memories of when she had begun to lose her eyesight. It wouldn't do if Kithara saw her this way.
Amy had been away from the tribe for some time, asking for just a little time to herself. She needed it. Needed the time to think. She could smell snow, feel snow, it was everywhere, but... She couldn't see it. Never would again. He hadn't returned to play with her, but she had accepted this. It didn't frighten her. It made her sad, but she knew she was supposed to be alone. He hadn't returned, but she hadn't thought he would.
She was alone in a winter wonderland that she longed to see, but could not.

 Tabby had not stopped thinking about Amy, even after it had been a few days. He had wanted very much to go back and help the poor fox out with her first snow. She seemed very attached to it and as such it seemed only right to help. However as fate would have it, a link of events happened that left him completely stuck.
First off, Iniex up and vanished on him. Leaving him with a tiny see through kit. Now Tabby had little to no idea what to do with a kit, none what so ever. That aside this kit was white and see through and she blended in with the snow FAR to well for Tabby's taste. This wasn't even the worst part, she was tiny and see through, so very tiny. She had just broken free from her ball and was ever curious about the world and the way things were and went on constantly about the good in people.
Now this was bad, it was decently annoying as well. However when Tabby awoke from a nap to find the little one gone it turned horrible. He stood there, slightly horrified, staring out into the snow. It was then something clicked in his mind... snow... his eyes went wide and he dashed out into it.
He had to get back to his tribe, he had to get back now he had forgotten all about Amy! His feet kicked up snow as he ran and dashed back to where he had seen her last. He was in luck, he had almost run past her but the tell tell black and white had caught his attention. "Amy?!" He called as he bounced through the snow over to her. He touched her shoulder and gave a small wag of his tail. "How are you?" He asked lightly having by this point completely forgotten about the kit.

Having learned from Boniface how to tell when others were near without spazzing the vixen knew Tabby was near, though not that it was Tabby himself. He had been running, until the fox stopped near her. Male, she could tell. Taller, judging by the sound of its breath. Her ears flicked as he spoke, head turning to his direction, her blind eyes blankly staring ahead.
"Tabby?" She questioned, shoulder raising when he touched it, ears lowering. The vixen sighed inwardly, wanting to say that she knew he had forgotten her, but that would be rude, wouldn't it? Instead she pawed the cold ground, hiding the sadness that welled in her as she felt what she could not see.
"I've been fine, if only a little lonely." She replied. "How about you?"

"The one and only." He stated as he flopped out beside her. "I'm so sorry. I have been thinking about you none stop but I got so twisted around." He gave a soft huff and flicked his tail. "I'm alright, though you wouldn't believe the past few days I have had. I have been trying without much success to get back to you. But oh the horrors of that. I got lost, had Iniex abandon me with a kit, had that kit vanish." He gave a sigh and shook his head. "It's been rough." He stated honestly pawing at the snow.
"I've missed you." He stated with a smile looking up at his new friend from is lying position. "I hate that you have been lonely. I didn't wanna be gone for so long I really didn't. I really did try my best to get back to you... can you forgive me?" He asked his voice taking on a note of actual worry that she might not be able to forgive him for such a fault.

Amy listened to him, hearing him settle down and let out a sigh. How couldn't she not forgive him? He was one of her few friends, and she had been thinking of him for... for awhile. She didn't understand why, but she couldn't be angry. She hadn't been earlier, merely sad that he had left her.
"Of course I forgive you." She mused, lying her head down on his back, sighing. "You are afterall a good friend of mine." She mused, tail flicking to the side. "A kit, you say? I see. Do you have a mate to help you with raising it?" She questioned lightly.

Tabby gave a soft smile and lifted his head to turn it around and nuzzle her lightly. "Thank you, Amy." He said softly in her ear before wrapping his tail around her and resting his head on his paws once more. "You are a very good friend of mine as well. I am very fond of spending time with you." He stated before giving a huff.
"It wasn't my kit. I don't want it, she is all ghost like and see through and she drives me absolutely batty." He stated a soft displeased sound falling from his maw. "However, no, I don't have a mate. I'm not raising it either. It ran away and it wasn't even my responsibly to begin with, it was Iniex's." He gave a shrug. "I figure might as well let it go. It can fend for itself."

Amy's ears flicked. Being part of Yasashii made her mind change a lot. Before she was in Yasashii she might have said let the kit go, but now she raised her head, tilting it. "That doesn't sound good." She mused quietly. "Maybe we should look for it, make sure it's okay? We can hand it off to Iniex then." She said, frowning softly.
"I'd hate for a kit to starve or be frozen out here." She whispered, lowering her head back on her paws, ears pulling against her head.

Tabby gave a soft sigh and shook his head. "Oh dear." He stated knowing exactly where this was going. Slowly he got to his feet and nodded even though she couldn't see it. "I suppose, but you can't see her against all this snow! She blends in so well. Its impossible to see her I meant it. I don't even know if she can feel the cold!" He stated as he flicked his tail back and forth. "I don't want her to starve or freeze but I can't see here against all this snow. Its nearly impossible to do so. Winter is certainly her season, and snow is her friend." He stated but shrugged. "However I suppose we can go look for her just to ease your nerves."

"I have a good sense of smell, maybe I could smell her." She said, standing, padding past Tabby. Her tail swept behind her, feeling the ground. Her nose twitched as she smelled, slipping past tree's like a ghost, as if she could see. However this impressive show failed when she heard a cracking sound and walked head first into a tree. She whimpered, shaking her head and walking into another tree, her concentration broken and now she was failing at focusing at listening to the air, bumping into yet another tree and plopping down onto her haunches, eyes watering.
She was tired of this!
The vixen grit her teeth, ears flicking against her head. 'Useless!' She was so useless this way! Blind! Blind blind blind! She couldn't even walk by herself without bumping into trees, how the hell would she find a kit?!

"This is true. Perhaps you could. Though she does smell an awful lot like snow. Or at least to my nose she does. Maybe not to yours though." He stated in a quixotic tone before he blinked and stood prancing after her. She had gotten away from him as he had been lost in thought about the kit's smell.
He came to a halt as she hit a tree and then another and then another. "Amy! Be careful!" He stated running up to her and nosing her side. "Hey..." He said softly noticing the tears in her eyes. He nuzzled her cheek gently. "It's ok. Don't worry about it, we will find her with time ok? You don't need to be upset."

Amy shook her head, letting out a tiny whimper. "I can't." She whispered, nearly collapsing into herself. "I'm blind, what use am I?!" She snapped, head turning to the nudge. "Boniface is blind, but...but he can do everything! Then theres me, who can't even find a kit." She whimpered, lowering her head into her paws, ears flicking backwards.
"Tabby, I don't think you want to be around me. I'm just a failure who bumps into tree's." She whispered. She hated it. She hated being blind! She hated not being able to help people! She hated not being able to help Tabby. She wanted to help him. She wanted to help everyone! But...but... she couldn't even walk straight!

Tabby shook his head lightly and sighed. "No, no! You are lots of use. You make me smile and make me happy. You make me feel really good about myself. I like being around you a lot." He said softly nuzzling her cheek gently. "It's really not your place to try and find the kit and at least you are trying which is more than some would do."
He stopped looking horrified for a moment. "I know you are wrong. I do want to spend time with you and I want to be around you. You are a really good friend of mine. I don't have any others. I really don't want to leave you... not ever... because then I would be alone. That would make me sad." He stated softly nuzzling against her shoulder again. "Please don't make me go? I think you are really wonderful and not a failure at all."

Amy had a suspicion he was being honest, but in the end, would break that promise of staying. She looked up at him, or rather, raised her head to seem like she was. She wanted to question him, ask him why he was saying these things. The blind vixen merely nodded, head lowered lightly. "We'll stay friends." She decided quietly, ears back, way back.
Why'd she have a feeling this would all fail?
