I am quite unsure where to post this so I shall post it here.
For now, I have lot of ideas but not at all fitting for my characters, what I want to do then for now is help with your stories if you need it.
Just tell me of your characters and your story/ies and then I shall try and find ideas that may help you.

I'm writing a fanfiction and need some help. It's an AxelXZexion fiction, which is unusual (I find it adorable). I have them in a high school-age mind frame, and it's early summer vacation. I'm trying to figure out a way to get them from being friends to more without the usual "random-party-make-out" thing. It's overdone XD
Can you help?

I am not familiar with the material you are referring to, but I have one suggestion that should apply to any situation.
Perhaps the two could find interest in each other without knowing who the other one is. It is more subtle than most fan-fics (if that is what this is), and it is general enough for you to find a way to apply it to the specific characters. Do you know the lyrics to "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)" by Rupert Holmes?
I hope that this suggestion helps. Otherwise, Reglare might devise something better or more applicable.

Axel has a bit of an outgoing decisive and strong personality while Zexion is a little more on the quiet side, but still strong willed.
(I know these go a little along the "random-party-make-out" lines, but I tried to eliminate the random part)
Axel I could see as being a bit of a delinquint in school. Not stupid, just not willing to try overly hard, but Zexion on the other hand I could see as being a smart hard worker. Maybe some school project forces them to be together.
Or Axel could have a goal to date and dump every person at school, and he finds himself unable to dump Zexion.
(Are you excited for the new Kingdom Hearts coming out next month?)
