Through the eyes of someone only used to things the way they are now...

"Bringing back the old wilderness" will be great for those wanting to compete with other players in that aspect, however, it seems that all of the other benefits of the wilderness (Green Dragons, Greater Demons, the Mage Arena, the Abyss, the Chaos Druids beneath Varrock, etc.) will become all but inaccessible to anyone without a taste for combat.

Removing trading limits would definitely make it easier for more seasoned players to take advantage of newer players, but it would seem that if newer players stick with trading in the Grand Exchange, it would be less likely for older players to prey upon them.

One thing that I don't see ever changing is that items that require more time and effort to make or get, or require one to go out of his or her way to get, are going to be bought and sold at ridiculous prices. The only thing you can do is hope that there will be enough reasonable vendors who don't raise their prices to much.

Were you even around when the old wilderness was here?
First off, no matter what level you are, your still able to do those things in the wilderness. You just have to be alert and careful, you cant afk and all of that bullshit. dhide and magic prayer, run to the abyss. at green dragons you see someone that looks like their waiting for you to kill the dragon to jump you, tele. You go out to the lever? you best hope you know what your doing. Find an empty world. its not that difficult, so no need to freak people out about it.
I'll tell you right now, I'm a green dragon pker, as well as a mage arena pker.

Second, the free trade? Im sorry but i do recall things being much cheaper in the sense of free trading, rather than limited with the dumb ge.
Easier to find things, as well as quicker to obtain the items you need. Rather than the ge where you'd sit there for an hour or more trying to get food, or pots or other products. Dont underestimate and judge people to automatically be cheap and bump prices on everything. Its not even hear yet, dont start flaming it. Atleast wait until the s**t actually comes out.

I don't think you quite understood the tone I was aiming for sweatdrop

Like I said, I'm only used to the way things are right now, I've never experienced what it is they're bringing back. I'm not trying to freak anyone out about anything, again, I have no idea what the old content was all about. I was actually hoping someone else who may share a similar way of enjoying the game as I do could perhaps shed some light on just how the activities I mentioned, and content of the same nature, would be handled with the new-old rules.

I only assume that prices will go up because of the desperation factor among players without the patience to wait for what they want, who instead will offer ridiculous amounts of gold for something as simple as a spade. In turn, the other players, looking to make the same profit as the lucky sod who just happened to be standing around when the desperate player needed that spade/talisman/vial/knife/etc. will take no less for their item then what the lucky player got. I'm not "flaming" anything, it just seems like a much more inconsistent way of doing things.

Also with the free trade, many people accept junk, loot, items, so you dont have to try and sell everything in GE to be able to make the value to than throw the money in again to attempt at waiting for the item that you just spend days trying to get. you can trade the things, plus cash for it.
First the main thing jagex is moving towards this decision is because of the fact of losing 1000s of people on runescape, due to the changes they had recently made. many people quit runescape after they ruined the wilderness, and free trade, f2pers and p2pers. s**t I was one of them.
You want to check out the old wildy, go look at videos on youtube...
