Notes:
- Feast takes place the day after the hatching, starting around noon.
- Those who were deemed too injured to return for the feast will be delivered food by the healers.
- The location is a large building that is probably the only real extravagant / decorated place on the living island. There is a big table in the front where the masters / seconds / wingleaders sit, and other tables in front of them. The front two are for dragonriders and the back two are for anyone else.
- The food this feast is of wide variety and there is more of it than usual, probably in an attempt to cheer up the down-and-out Weyrlings.
- As of now, Whitemaster Jasaro and Whermaster Bekar are absent.
- If you have any other questions, please ask in the thread!

Gaurdmaster Sesabal did not particularly want to be at the feast. While it was unlikely he'd run into the Whitemaster, or the new Whermaster, the man could not help but feel there would have to be someone who'd like to have a word with him about the disaster that had occurred during the Hatching. (Like the Whitesecond, for instance. That man was as tall as a tree, and had quite the...look about him. Even if it wasn't R'xen, any member of the Whiteguard could mean trouble, even that X'nar.) After all, their only Queen had almost been smothered under rocks, and almost half her clutch had been crushed. (And, you know. J'aro had lost his dragon. But that wasn't really the point.)
Sniffing as he slithered into the large, festive building, he couldn't help but glare at the large array of food laid out for the guests. What were they doing, wasting so much supplies? He'd have to speak to the kitchen workers.
Not many had arrived yet, so Sesabal quickly made his way across the room. In fact you could almost say he skittered, approaching an older woman. "Korsi." What came out of his mouth next was not only unexpected, but perhaps wholly inappropriate. "I'm leaving you in charge of the feast. I have things to attend to." There was no apology for her loss, and just like that, the Gaurdmaster quickly darted away before the Whersecond could grab him, keep him in this room. Zipping for the entrance, the middle-aged man tried to disappear just as he silently as he appeared.

Curith stared up at the large building they were about to enter. It was the biggest one she had ever seen and she had seen plenty on her walk here. How many people are inside Mine?
Mairin shrugged "No idea, probably less than a hundred," she guessed. Hatching feasts were supposed to be big and festive but she had a feeling a lot of people were going to opt out of this one. The fact that some who might have attended were either now dead or too injured to come was a thought she tried to keep quiet lest she upset Curith. " I'm sure it will be fun though." In the young woman's opinion any chance she had to eat good food, hang out with people and tell some stories was bound to be at least mildly fun.
Curith's eyes whirred a placated blue for the moment as the green trundled after Hers and into the Feast. She was still sore from the night before and unsure about what was supposed to be happening now but nothing in here looked too weird. Just people and tables and a lot of food. I hope you are very hungry!
Mairin laughed softly and reached down to rub the spot between Curith's headnobs. " I am but remember there are a lot of boys coming and they eat a lot too." There was probably more food here than anyone could eat but it was nice to look at regardless. With a respectful nod to the head tables Mairin headed towards where the seafood was being kept, shellfish she didn't have to work for herself would be welcome right about now.

Ohhhh. There's so much food.....I want to try it. Tarth wasn't aware that the subject of male appetites was under discussion, otherwise he would have had to pause to appreciate the irony of his, and his partners rumbling belly. S'am let out a low whistle as he took in the impressive spread of food.
It may have been intended to soothe a broad range of people's sense of hurt over the terrifying, largely disastrous clutch, but he could hardly argue with such an impressive range and amount of food.
"I'm pretty sure there's some things out there you're not supposed to be eating, not yet anyway."
He was still getting used to the idea of communicating with Tarth, at least the part of talking to him without actually talking, and wasn't sure how long it would take to stop forgetting that other people didn't hear Tarth unless Tarth specifically wanted them to.
There's so much food they're hardly going to notice if I sample a little Tarth encouraged, nudging S'am with his nose and trying his best to sound convincing.
We'll see S'am offered, trying not to commit to handing Tarth a sampler tray of spiced meats.
But they smell soooooo goooooooood. And it's a feast because of usssssss you said sooooooooooooooooooo.

That, Mine. Get some of that, Harth instructed, sitting back on her haunches to raise herself up in order to get a good view of the feast's spread. And that, she added, with a mental sort of frown when her rider hesitated to heap another item onto her plate. You are hungry, aren't you?
Well...yes.
But? That Iafri needed prompting to contradict someone - even her dragon! - was adorable, but not good for her in the long run. They were going to have to work on that!
But...I'm not sure I'm hungry enough enough to eat everything? she admitted hesitantly.
Good girl, Harth approved, of the elaboration but not the answer itself. But you're very skinny, darling, and you need to eat if we're going to put some meat on your bones! A little at a time, though, I suppose. So...
The young green surveyed the options again. A bit of that, annnd some vegetables of course! And that should do for now, sweet Mine.

Tochinath was well ahead of her, and K'ia had to sprint to keep him in sight. It seemed he knew exactly where the hatching feast was taking place, and she didn't blame him. He was still desperately hungry from all the digging, and had missed his chance for his first hatchling meal.
Hungry, hungry, hungry, hungry, hungry...
A steady mantra from her dragon, it made K'ia giggle and she was glad of her physical shape; all this running and digging and laughing when almost out of breath would have done her in otherwise!
Tochinath, my sweet. I promise the food will still be there!
But, who wants to take the chance? Not this dragon!
He disappeared through the partially open doors and she could almost hear his stomach double the amount of hungry grumblings it was giving out.
FOOD! he said gleefully and dove at the table, his tail wagging like a puppy's as he laid his front feet on the table carefully, eagerly viewing all the different dishes. It was predominantly people food, but his stomach didn't quite care at this point. '
"Are you....drooling?" she asked aloud, too amused to speak in her mind as she giggled.
...No. That was on the table before I got here, the little blue said with shifting eyes, his clawed hand wiping at the table as his tongue darted out along his maw to capture any more deceiving liquids.

C'nor hadn't wanted to show up too early - oh he had to make an appearance obviously, it was expected...but he didn't want to wind up spending more time then he had to here either. Well unless someone important came along to talk to. He wouldn't even have shown up when he did..if it wasn't for Lioth.
Lioth..if he'd has his way would have been waiting at the door before anything was set up and likely stayed there to greet everyone who showed up, mostly just for the 'being first' factor. C'nor had had to spend a long time explaining the perks of being 'fashionably late' ..and in the end they'd compromised and waited longer then Lioth would have liked but left earlier then C'nor would have appreciated.
Ah well, such was life yes? C'nor had of course dressed for the occasion in the best clothing he could scrounge up and Lioth had been oiled and cleaned so that he gleamed about as much as a brown could be expected to gleam and a least to C'nor' eyes they made a rather dashing pair as they entered the feast.
'There are not many here yet Mine' Lioth remarked as they strode in and glanced around 'No there isn't..we could have waited a bit longer..' C'nor responded with a sigh.

Tochinath I don't think you are supposed to stand that way, you could fall. While Curith was sad she could not see those who had been injured the day before, she certiainly did not want to see anyone else get hurt now. The green butted her head gently against Mairin's hip to get her attention then began to walk towards the male dragonet. Perhaps she should keep an eye on him, just to make sure he would be okay.
Mairin piled some fruit on her plate from a nearby display before she followed after Curith. She was careful not to step on her bonded's tail as she did so. The teen no idea what Curith wanted with that particular pair but Mairin had no problem mingling with the other new weyrlings. " Hey, I see um," right she had no idea what that dragon's name was..
Tochinath Curith replied quickly.
"I see Tochinath is ready to enjoy the feast." Mairin knew dragons could eat the same foods as people though she didn't recall hearing of them doing it all that often. She supposed the blue could just be curious though. Either way his antics made for a good conversation starter with his rider.

K'ia turned at the voice and frowned slightly, not knowing the speaker. By nature, the young woman was cautious of strangers and usually quite shy to the point of seeming rude or frosty.
But Tochinath had no such problems.
I won't tip the table over, he replied rebelliously, sticking his forked tongue out at the green. Then he turned that tongue to the table and wrapped it around a piece of spiced wherry, slurping it down in an instant and letting out a content rumble.
"He missed his first meal last night because of the cave in, so he's behind the others. I fed him before bed, but I guess that first gorge really can't be missed."
Turning, she grabbed a plate and wondered what the other girl wanted. K'ia wasn't big on social interactions, and hoped her dragon would continue stuffing his face instead of talking.
Again, she was disappointed.
Curith, come try this dish. It is amazing, the small blue said almost raptiously, and this time he did climb onto the table before his rider could stop him. She actually found it a little comical, to see him picking his way amongst the plates.
My love...You're pushing it.

Tochinath! Harth saw the blue climb onto the table as she and Hers turned to find a seat, and she did not approve. That food is for Ours! And you are stealing it, and ruining it. What if my darling is hungry again, and you have taken what she wants?
Iafri flinched and glanced apologetically at her friend, tugging very gently on one of Harth's headknobs in a futile effort to redirect her.

"Ahh well that explains it then." Mairin hadn't realized the cave in had lead to some of the last hatched dragonet's not eating. She'd been too focused on keeping Curith calm and stuffing food into the sensitive green to see the last of the hatching before the tragedy struck. " I'm Mairin by the way, decided to keep my name as it was," besides it wasn't like her name was that long to begin with. " What do I call you?" Might as well use this time to start familiarizing herself with the names and new names of those she didn't and did already know respectively.
Mairin snorted and shook her head at Tochinath's antics while she waited for a reply. Dragonets definitely did not belong on tables. Sure Tochinath wasn't hurting anything yet but it was only a matter of time before the table buckled or he knocked something over. After all dragonets were not exactly known for being well coordinated in their early days. Still, it was impossible to deny that the sight was cute in a way few other things they might see this afternoon would be.
Curith found no humor in the situation and instead sent a distressed stare at the blue as he clambered about, now actually on the table. I am not hungry Tochinath, please come down before you are hurt. Even if she had been hungry Curith's appetite vanished when she became concerned. She cared less for the food being consumed and disturbed though than the idea that Tochinath might slip and fall.
