Well, I recently got a book from the library called How to Write Short Stories. But I haven't read it yet. In general, the overused advice rings true: practice makes perfect. I learned to write the way I do through role playing and I'm pretty good now, if I and all I role play with do say so ourselves. (: Good luck with your mission to learn.

It really depends what you want to write and what kind of writing though...
Just write out your thoughts, views, and feelings, etc.
And maybe you'll fill up an entire page or two.
Let your creativity flow!
