"Just do it." She pleaded. Right now, she didn't much care what Lance felt about the experimentation thing. The worst that could happen, after all of this, was that it could not work.
She closed her eyes as Howl rolled up his sleeves, biting her lip nervously. Would it work? Would it hurt? Was she going to be stuck like-
The thunder clapped in the distance, and she suddenly felt very hot, and very itchy. There was a jerk as she felt her magic come roaring back, filling her to her fingertips. She felt the floor on her back; and when she opened her eyes, more than a little dizzy, she looked down at herself. Or, herselves. There seemed to be three of them.
But, the good news was, they were all seventeen!!
Whooping, she scrambled off the floor, laughing and leaning on Lance for balance. Her lips found his, excitedly, and she laughed, spinning around to catch Howl before they both fell down. She was still very dizzy, and sunk to her knees, hugging the young wizard close.
"You did it! Oh, thank you, Howl, YES! I'm normal! Yes!!" She cheered and cuddled him, planting a kiss on his cheek also. He deserved it, for saving her. She'd have done the same to Dimitri, too.

Oh, he wanted to SLAP this kid! Lance could honestly say that he'd never wanted to hurt a kid more than he wanted to hurt Howl right now. Really, this kid was pushing it.
Lance, indeed, wasn't sure of how he felt about Kali being an 'experiment', but found that he didn't get the chance to put his two cents in as Howl cast the spell. The Gothic teen didn't notice the boy's apologetic look, probably because he currently had his eyes locked on Kali. The young man covered his eyes as there was a bright flash - seconds later, when it faded, and Lance found himself staring down at his girlfriend as she lay on the floor on her back.
He was next to her moments later, an arm around her as she leaned on him. Warm lips pressed against his and he - despite wanting to throttle Howl - returned the gesture, relieved to see that she was alright.
"What the hell happened?" Lance finally asked, giving Howl an irritated look as Kali kissed his cheek. He knew that she was just thanking him, but that didn't change the fact that he was still annoyed with the boy. "How'd you end up as a little kid?" Obviously, magic had been involved, but what had happened exactly?

Howl was exhausted. His child body clearly hadn't been made for such a large amount of energy to flow out of it all at once. He didn't think he would be able to do it again; especially since he wasn't sure whether it'd work on Sophie, as well as himself. It wasn't really a curse, was it? He leaned against Kali when she hugged him. "Don't make me do that again," he muttered. "It's--" he paused, and began happily returning the cuddles he was recieving. Maybe saving Kali had been worth the exhaustion.
"Wow," he said, putting a hand to his cheek. "Kali, maybe you should get cursed more often," he said with a tired smile to let her know he was teasing. He set his eyes on Lance and raised an eyebrow. "Her master, Zak, or whatever his name is, cursed her. He stole her magic and turned her into a seven year old girl. I thought that would have been obvious." He yawned, and leaned against Kali.
"I'm tired Kali," he complained. "Let's go get ice cream."

"Howl, that's enough. Don't taunt him." She said sharply, ignoring Howl's teasing. She shifted as he settled down and into her lap, looking up at Lance.
"He's right, though...it was Zak. I'd been feeling funny since I left his house, and as soon as I walked in the door here, well...I just...poof. And I couldn't use my own magic, so I had to call Howl for help. I...didn't want you to know." She brushed strands of Howl's golden hair out of his face and chuckled, shaking her head.
"Rest, Howl. When you've got your energy back, we'll go to ice cream, AND laser tag. Just...close your eyes." She said soothinly, stroking his hair back away from his face. She always felt tired when people ran their fingers through her hair. Perhaps it would help him get his well deserved rest...

Howl was a s**t - Lance had firmly decided this. The Gothic boy's temper rose immediately and he glared at the tired boy. "Well, you know, it's not all that obvious when I DON'T KNOW THE SITUATION." He understood that Kali was fond of this kid, but that didn't mean that he was going to put up with this kid's mouth. "Maybe you should stop being a p***k and take a bloody NAP, like a good little boy."
The young man looked to his girlfriend as she explained what had happened and took a moment to come up with a response when she finally finished talking. "...he sounds like a douche." Lance said bluntly, trying to ignore the fact that Howl was currently snuggling his girlfriend. He swore to GOD, if the kid said one more thing, he was going to shove the brat in a trash can. "You could've told me though." Lance shrugged a bit. "I get that you were embarrassed, but I would've helped you any way I could."

Howl turned to glare at Lance, all tiredness forgotten. "I'll have you know," he started, "That I am actually thirty years old, and I will not hesitate to--" he gave an angry huff. "The greatest wizard in all Ingary does not need--Kali, he started it that time."
He allowed Kali to stroke his hair, but didn't close his eyes. They were still focused on Lance. His eyes narrowed, and he mumbled something about turning the gothic boy into a toad if he upset him further; and certainly if the boy managed to make Kali cry again.
"Can't we go get ice cream and play laser tag now?" he asked, yawning. "I'm sure it'll help."

"He is a douche... but you're very swee-" Kali began softly, smiling at Lance. However, his and Howl's habitual bickering cut her off, and her smile faded into a grim frown.
"I don't CARE who started it, NOBODY will be turning ANYONE into toads!" She snapped, glaring at both of them. HONESTLY, what were they, Four?!
Well, in Howl's case, he may as well have been. She frowned at Howl's request, and resolutely shook her head.
"No. You're going to sleep. I'll bring you home, and we'll do that later." She said firmly. She appreciated what Howl had done, but he needed sleep; and she wanted to spend a little time, in her grown again body, with her boyfriend.
