Mesvah thought the last hit would have done the man in so she stepped up to check on him. As soon as she got within reach, his hand latched onto her ankle and tripped her.

Mesvah landed, gasping and shocked, and managed to react quickly. she lashed out with the foot that wasn't being grasped. She managed to catch him off guard and it truly would have been an excellent hit, if it wasn't for the fact that she couldn't twist her body that well. Instead of catching him in his face, she simply grazed the fingers he had wrapped around her other foot.

As her foot came back down, missing its target, Mesvah decided to try another desperate attempt. She knew that staying down like this would end up badly and the man was in the process of pushing himself up, while keeping hold of her ankle. When the man had pushed himself up enough for Mesvah to see his face she spit right into his eye. Due to his shock, the man whipped his head backwards, smacking it on the very same lamp post he had hit so many times now. He raised his hands to his head to grasp it. Mesvah took this oppurtunity to scoot out of his way.

Unfortunately, as Mesvah tried to scurry away she managed to put her palm down on top of a patch of ice. When she tried to put pressure on it, it slipped out from underneath her causing her to hit her hand on the ground.

She hit the ground hard, so hard that it made her vision slightly blurry for a couple of seconds. Her head throbbed but she knew she had to get out of his reach, she tried to scramble her way up but just couldn't seem to be able to. The man was beginning to move around again and she feared she wouldn't have much more time.

Unfortunately, she didn't realize just how hard she had hit, and shortly after everything went blurry, it all went black. As she laid there willing her vision to come back she began to try and think out a plan to end this quickly.

She couldn't really focus though because of the blinding pain shooting through her head. One thing she was certain of was that she was going to figure out what Mr. Gambino was up to whenever she got done with this.

As she was still trying to think, she felt a hand go around her throat. Instinctivly, she began to thrash around to try to get out of his grasp. However, not being able to see was severely hinder her progress and she did nothing more than hurt her already injured back.

No matter how much she tried to struggle free it didn't work. She felt her breath being squeezed out of her. Her vision was starting to come back though, she could just barely make out the shape of the man and she found it ironic that she would be able to see when she died.

She had finaly come up with a plan. The man really didn't appear to be that intelligent so she slowly began to stop struggling and then began to hold her breath. She hoped that this would be enough to trick him, if it wasn't then it would be more than just an act here soon. Luckily, it worked and the man stood up and turned to walk away. As he did, she launched herself up, her vision had completely returned, and went to tackle him. As they went down, the man hit his head on a rock. All of the sudden he seemed to just quit. Mesvah was frightened that she had killed him. Upon checking his pulse she realized that he was simply knocked out. She took his lab coat and put it on. She hoped that this would be a good enough disguise to at least get up to Gambino to figure out what was going on.

She was able to locate where he was rather easily, she knew to look where anything flashy was. Also when she thought she had found the right residence she saw more people with lab coats on. She easily slipped passed them, which she did not honestly expect. As she slipped through she noticed several other Gaians either making their way here or trying to get inside. Once inside she marveled at how luxurious this abode was. She didn't marvel too long though, she knew she had to get to the bottom of what was going on. As she got to the top of the stairs she heard people talking, she snuck up to the door the voices were coming from. The door was ajar and she could see through the crack without being seen if she angled herself just right.
"Modmas this, Modmas that. Can't the whole of Gaia see that I am their friend, not these mods. We have got to put a stop to this and show Gaia who is truly there for them" she heard Gambino say. The other people in the room, they had lab coats on, were simply nodding. Some were throwing out ideas on how to end it.
When Mesvah heard this she stepped back. How could anybody want to end Modmas she contemplated. As she stepped backwards, she bumped into a column that had a shiny gold ball. She didn't want it to drop and make noise so she tried to catch it. She juggled it around in her hands but ultimately it fell straight into the room with Gambino. Nobody noticed it until Gambino stepped on it and fell. He quickly jumped up and looked around. Mesvah couldn't help but gasp.
