Today I was blessed to tears!
My Pastor stopped by this afternoon to give me an envelope, that all it said was "Carey Family". He told me that sometimes the church does this sort of thing, but today he was dropping it off from a specific member of the church but did not say who it was. After he left my husband and I opened it up to see a folded up blank white piece of paper and inside that paper was a 100$ bill! I feel so amazingly blessed by God for this wonderful gift. I pray many blessings to the family who contributed to my family.
My family is on a "fixed" income, which means we get only a set amount of money each month at the beginning of the month and the amount is lower than minimum wage. We have no other income but that and its tough to make ends meet most of the time, but with help from my parents we somehow seem to make it through each month. Christmas is always one of the hardest months due to purchasing gifts for my family's secret Santa gift exchange as well as gifts for my daughter. This month got even harder when my husband had to make a 3hour trip to a take care of a speeding ticket. I wasn't worried about finances because slowly but surely I'm learning to fully rely on God for those things. I prayed for my family and unsaved loved ones Friday night and God told me that we were all taken care of and he also told me "humility". So with this blessing today I give all the praise to the Lord because he is truly guiding my family and sheltering us in his hands!
