Yiska was tracking....something through the snow-covered forest. It was strange because he knew that what he was chasing was impossible to exist: he just needed to be sure that a waking dream wasn't loose on the world. At this point, he was just going after a hunch because something in the air felt like it did in the dreamlands, which wasn't new; it was that feeling one got just before dozing off or right before going to sleep. Only Yiska felt it while he was wide awake and eating lunch.
Just for the sake of it though, Yiska packed up his peanut butter and bananna sandwhich into a pouch, grabbed his bow and arrows decided to check things out. He didn't plan on being too long, after all, it was possible he was just tired and didn't know it, something which happened to everyone. However, to his surprise the further he wandered in the forest the stronger the feeling got. It also felt darker. Whether because of the cold or because of the strange feeling a shiver ran down his spine. Instinctively Yiska tried to use dream logic in the forest to attempt an escape but stopped when he remembered that he was indeed still awake, and felt very vulnerable.

A dark entity indeed lingered in the woods. Atropos slinked through the snowy pathway in between trees none too gracefully. She occasionally knocked into branches or bushes, hissing in response. "Coolld..." Where was all the animals? All the midnight strollers? Nothing warm blooded seemed to be out at all. Her thirst for spilled blood was growing stronger.
Atropos phased in and out of visibility, swaying as she moved, her blade arm forever at the ready.
Suddenly, she stopped. Her one eye stared outward at nothingness, but her toothy maul opening in glee. "Fresh meat, yes..." She rasped coldly.
