I can't stand them. I can't take them serious either. I know the ones that say,"I'm going to kill you." Are virtually empty words.
People who use empty threats complain that no one takes them seriously. They need to think about their "promises".

I know right? My mom is mastr of those. I have no idea how many times she's told us that she would throw us out is we made the hosue messy one more time or would throw out or games if we didn't listen to her or that she'd smash the tv in if we watched too much. It's gotten to the point where I cruelly mock her for it...behind her back of course cause is she saw she'd be PISSED. But I love her anyways <3 But she complains that no one takes her seriously..which is a total joke. tsktsk.

lawl sounds like my parents. the only threat theyve ever actually carried out is taking away like, computer privileges, but thats a fail threat because their hiding places suck, they can't just turn off the wifi because our neighbours pay for part of it and other people not being punished will get mad, and even when we were little, they were never home to see if we were on the computer and we all knew each others' passwords anyway. Plus now we all have other wifi devices, like my ipod or our phones or the wii. None of us every really do anything, so grounding us from going places doesn't affect us and is kind of nice, because it's an excuse to NOT go to some movie I don't want to see or not go shopping which I hate.

Lol. My parents do that too. They took away our games but we managed to fnd them anyway. My mom sarcasticaly commented on our amazing ability to find things we actually want to find but when it comes to books that we need for learning suddenly they're no where. I think this was ment for my brothers though....
Ah, yes, I haven't checked out my internet on the wii yet. XD Lol, my mom doesn't let us go anywhere anyway.
