I used to like asian pop. Doesn't really do it for me anymore. Just like with singers of any other language I think the more obscure singers disinterested with being overly trendy are more worth it.

Ooh, an indie snob. I haven't met one of those in a while. xd *pokes Iakun* I kid, of course. I agree that a lot of commercial artists aren't as good as the undiscovered ones that try harder. But that doesn't mean they're all bad, or that the indie ones are all good.

I SWEAR I'm not an indie snob. I can't stand that overly quirked out indie crap either. I'm kind of in this middle area between the 2 lol
I'll just say it like this then. I like singers that have a lot of singing talent that requires more than just shouting. And lyrics that aren't all "smack mah b***h up" and stuff. lol
I'll admit I'm not familiar with korean music though. I'm more familiar with Japanese.

Well, in that case, Iakun, we're in total agreement. xd My favorite singers really sing, and my favorite songs have very poetic lyrics. 3nodding
