"Earth is of no interest to His Majesty, other than conquering Necropolis to irritate its baroness," he said with a laugh.
Suddenly, all of the devices (save for the one that had transformed the animal) self-destructed. Nothing was left but unsalvageable scraps of metal. Prof. Bohr's mission on Atole was becoming quite clear.
((I'll be back later.))

A shield sprang up around one device, transporting it away before it had a chance to self-destruct.
"I see."
Emma looked around, fully understanding what was going on between the two. The flickering image of Winnie stirred, tugging at Emma's bodice. The enchantress whispered something to her, smiling fondly.

"There is so much to clean up," he shrugged. Prof. Bohr figured all of the devices were dealt with. It was just about time for him to go. His mission was to destroy his devices so the Maltirs or anyone else couldn't put them to proper use. Prof. Bohr didn't really see anything wrong with his invention getting some other uses; they did have honest to goodness applications before. It wasn't as if these were reinforced with his anti-magic alloy. However, it was best to simply do as the Emperor commanded and earn a 'job well done' rather than a punishment.

The image of Winnie in Emma's arms gave a surprisingly loud cry. The poor little thing could sense the technology close to her and had no idea how to deal with the strange hole in her perception.
"It's alright, little one..."

Prof. Bohr pulled out another scanning device. He used it to tell how much work there was left to be done. It seems as though these were the only devices that remained. Prof. Bohr's work was finally done. With that, he had no reason to remain on Atole. He could try to abduct a Maltir, but he wasn't so foolish. That would cause some complications.
"I must take my leave then. There are so many things to be done, and so little time."

"Until next time, sir."
Blue and violet shimmered, and the three vanished.

With his given task complete, Prof. Bohr boarded his cruiser and quickly left Atole. He had much to do. Fortunately, he required no rest.
