Kai cursed. He had hoped to give himself time to recover with that last attack, but with the Labtech standing over him, Kai had no time to block. An overhead swing caught Kai in the right temple and sent him sprawling to the ground. The moment he hit the dust, Kai was rolling with just enough speed to avoid the successive strikes of the Labtech behind him. In a fluid motion, Kai rolled into a crouched position, using the Katana for support.
"I figured this would be interesting, but I never knew you would may this fight so difficult." Kai panted. His opponent, just as breathless as he was, simply glared at Kai as they both hesitated from exertion.

Kai and the Labtech were at odds. The first was suffering damage to his internal structure. While the broken bones themselves would not cause death, it did weaken his ability to take a hit and it hurt like he'll. The second combatant had lost an arm and was bleeding from a gash in his thigh. Now, the two were matching blow for blow as, around them, arrows flew and Grombie tooth met Labtech claw.
"Modmas is ours, Grombie. Why do you fight your own kin? Why do you fight the inevitable? Revel in the glory of Gambino." the Labtech urged. Kai shook his head.
"I reverie the great Gambino as much as any of his creations, but Modmas should be celebrated ,by all people...Gambino included. This holiday belongs to every Gaia...we will not let you take that away."

Kai sheathed his swords. They had proved affective against the Labtech, but Kai needed strategy as much was weaponry to defeat this enemy. Kai pulled out his smoke grenade and tossed it into the fray. As it exploded, the Grombie faded into it's concealment, the Labtech following after.
