I'm honestly sick of how many people are obsessed with nekos. It is irritating because you can't pick animals that you actually like. So how about this for an idea.
Werepeople but all different. No cats. No dogs. No stereotypical wolves.

What sort of story should it be?
Stories that have a "plot" or an ultimate ending usually end up in chaos and never really get there.

you might want to check out the subforum RP 27, run by Venom. in it there's a magical group called Weres who are essentially that, though there aren't any rules against specific animalia; I tried to do a character who was a werespidermonkey, but things didn't work out for unrelated reasons.
