Now that I have your attention...To be fair, I was originally planning to title the thread "boobies," or something similarly inappropriate, [shot]
Kit and Elfy have given me the go-ahead to work on some designs for familiars. I would love some suggestions for species people want.
FAQ (answered to the best of my memory, since Kit, Elfy, and I haven't discussed it much as yet.)
How many species will there be?
Each species will have two specific to their breed. Other than those, there will be two that are available to all breeds. (So, at the moment, six.)
How will we obtain them?
The first ones will be released in an event. Customs will most likely be opened for later ones, with unique-lineart familiars being available by bribe only by colorists who can properly mimic the style. Species will have to be cleared with us first.
Will they be free-colored, or colored like our dragons? Or natural?
Free-colored.
How many fams will a given dragon be allowed to have?
Probably one.
Will they be "tied" to dragons?
Not necessarily. Some will be, of course, but some will not. So they'll be RPable, and, yes, BREEDABLE.
How will they communicate?
These are special species that have evolved to communicate with dragons. "I'M TOO PRETTY AND INTELLIGENT TO GET EATEN!!"
Suggestions for species: Feel free to suggest new ones--and please do post if you like one of the ones on the list.
Crows/Ravens/Blue Jays (Corvids): 5
Wildcat (like a lynx or a pygmy mountain lion or something): 3
Weasels/Ferrets/Minks/Stoats/Martens/Etc. (non-badger, non-wolverine, non-otter mustelids): 2
Bunnies: 1
Vultures/Condors: 3
Foxes: 3
Otters: 3
Snakes: 5
Flying Snakes: 2
Badgers: 1

• Some kind of avian... crow or raven might work best as a hunting partner. Vulture?
• Fox fox fox fox fox
• OTTERS.
• Some kind of reptile, maybe a snake?
Also, guuuys. Feel free to repeat suggestions, it'll help us figure out what y'all want.
As a duplicate suggestion, weasels might be nice.

I thought you meant domestic cats, so I didn't vote. A wild cat like a lynx or something would be pretty neat though.
