about the pack contest
closed due to lack of interest. this is, basically speaking, an rp contest.There is a bit of a twist however, in that you are allowed to work in groups and RP the Krokotas together, in order to more completely develop the pack!
there are two basic forms to fill out: single rp or pack idea. Single RP is for those of you who just want to enter an RP for a single Krokotas. Pack Idea is for a person (or group) who have a super idea for the pack, and would like to work with other people not only to RP the pack members, but also to further develop their pack idea.
please only post single rp entries and pack ideas in this thread.You can chat about your ideas in this thread, or in the main thread, whatever is easiest for you to keep track of. But try to keep off-topic convos to the main thread.
pack contest rules
this contest is totes free, yo. the hunter's gender is up to you. it is highly encouraged that you develop a pack edit idea to incorporate into your pack completely free of charge for all current and future members.A feather tucked behind the ear, bracelets, tail band, earrings, etc. Nothing too horribly complicated or complex, but if it’s super cool, I might be willing to hook you up. ;D
all of the krokotas from this event are rp-required, with the same requirements as a pack. If you do not RP your critter for three months (or offer a legitimate excuse), you will be warned. If another three months goes by with no activity (or excuse), your Krokotas will be confiscated, and the other pack member owners will hold a pack event to rehome it.
although it is possible to enter for more than one krokotas, you can only win one. group rp entries will be given priority over single rp entries. A group RP entry is pretty much guaranteed to win, since that’s what this event is about. The only way a single entry will win is if there is a pack member who is unaccounted for in the group entry (since I won’t bump off a group member for single entry).
some of these krokotas are related; for bonus points, give them related names.When I say that the Krokotas are related, it is up to you how related they are. For example, the Chief and Hunter could be brothers, cousins, father-son, uncle-nephew, etc.
about the single rp
you may not rp the same character as part of a single rp, and a group rp. you may submit up to (but no more than) two different single rp entries. if you participate in a pack rp (or several), you may only enter one single rp. submit single rps in this thread. rps should be anywhere from 300-1000 words.Idc if you go over or under, quality over quantity. Just don’t submit a novel, please. XD
do not edit your posts, even for typos. you may either write about a day in the life of the krokotas, or tell a story about his (or her) past.Basically, write about whatever you want. You may include other pack members or your own Krokotas in the narrative, but only as minor characters.
about the pack rp
you may participate in as many multiple pack rps as you are interested in, but keep it reasonable.If I think you’re being a pack-hog just to win a particular Krokotas, you ain’t gonna win him. |D
you may enter for only one krokotas within a single pack idea. if the krokotas you want to enter for within a group is already spoken for, you may ask to be considered as a “back-up” for it.No more than two back-up entries (a total of three) for each krokotas within a pack.
back-up krokotas are allowed to rp normally; just no overlapping the same krokotas within an rp.They aren’t even “back-ups,” per se, since they will be considered along the same level as the whoever claimed that Krokotas first.
you may organize no more than one pack idea yourself.So pick one idea and stick with it. If you come up with another, better idea later…see if you can’t pass it off to a friend.
just because you came up with the pack idea does not mean you have to claim the chief.You certainly can, but you don’t have to. Generally, the owner of the Chief is the leader of the human owners within a pack, so you’d have to have joint ownership or whatever.
pack rps should be submitted in the roleplaying subforum.You must—I repeat MUST—tag the RPs as [PAK] Title of RP (username x username). Include the usernames of those participating, not the Krokotas’ names. If there are more than, say, three people participating, list it like this: (HoneyBuns, XemoXcoreX, et. al.) - meaning “and others.” If they are not listed correctly, I will go into your thread and edit them so that they are. XD Please don’t make me do this.
you are allowed to edit your entry to bring it up to date with new members, rps, etc.You are also allowed slight edits of your pack’s theme and rules, but no total overhauls of the important stuff, k?
to join in with a pack idea that you think is super, contact the person who submitted the idea and tell them your plans. when you do start a group rp, please place the following code in the first post, and start the rp in the second.Username :: Krokotas’ # - Krokotas’ Name
