Fot the first time since Pontiac bailed out in 2003 or 2004, Toyota will join the Nextel and Bush series in 2007. Micheal Waltrip will be one of the drivers that will be in one of them. Toyota's entry to the top two Nascar series was based on the experiences in the Goodys Dash and Craftsmen Truck racing series as well as from Indy, Formula 1, and other series. Toyota will be the first foreign brand to compete in Nascars highest series since the Jaguar did it in the 1950s. I also believe that Toyota will join Ford as the second manufacturer to have cars in almost every motorsports series around the world.

I like Toyota. I cheer for the Tundra as it is, but I'm not sure about cheering for the Camry quite just yet. We'll see. It took them a while to compete in both IRL and Champ Car, back in the day, and they're still border-line in F1.
In case people are wondering, they did join Goody's Dash in 2000 with the Celica.

TSN reports the inevitable. Almost half of NASCAR fans dislike the Toyota Camry entering NASCAR Nextel Cup in '07. But some like Red Bull.
Well... Guess what? Team Red Bull's number 83 is already on a car for 2007, and the car make is... the TOYOTA CAMRY.
I can see it now: Fans show distaste for Red Bull; Litter track with blue and silver cans.
