Djinn: A greater form of Demon, the Djinn are masters of Magic in numerous forms that would put even the greatest of magi of any race to shame. These creatures can appear in any form they wish and can shift shapes and have access to a nearly unlimited supply of magic (save for magic attributed to Light and healing, as the Demons have no use for either). However, such great power comes at a grave price: Their forms are delicate, like porcelain or glass, and these guises must be kept coherent, and repairing a form takes a great deal of time of deliberation. Their magics are, however, destructive enough to make short work of most of their foes... The Djinn also have the ability to conjure minions to distract their enemies, but they are nowhere near as strong as the creatures that normal summoners can bring forth. Their capacity for illusionary and destructive magic, however, is said to be enormous, and that if they were in their true forms, the Djinn could have destructive capabilities sufficient to engulf an entire continent (However, this is impossible since Djinn cannot exist in our world in their true forms). There are some speculations that, if allowed close to an individual, the Djinn can sense a person's wishes and things they hold dear, and can occasionally take the form of whatever their victim cherishes most. While this is unconfirmed, many Djinn encounters are reported to stop their victims from acting against it, or having the intended target be unaware of the fiend trailing them until it's far too late. The only known method of disposing of Djinn, while temporary, is to shatter their guise with a blunt weapon or overcharge their magic with spells, preferably those that rely on pure magic energy. The Traditional use of Light magic to banish them is also effective, as it will dispel their magic and force them to re-enter the other realm of existence in which they dwell to recover their strength. There was once a method by which one could permanently kill a Djinn by sealing it in an object for several centuries and then destroying it, however, the monsters were set free long before the time was elapsed in order to aid with the Wars in the Southern Nations that ended in their destruction, and as such, the secrets to Sealing a Djinn were lost along with every nation of old. However, legends of Djinn tricking people into freeing them in exchange for granting "Wishes" still prevail in most mythologies, likely an allusion to their Illusionary magic and their power to change form.
Fields of Magic the Djinn have Proficiency in: Pyromancy (Fire Magic) Cryomancy (Ice Magic) Hydromancy (Water Magic) Aeromancy (Air Magic) Geomancy (Earth Magic) Conjuration and Summoning Illusion Magic (Their Most Famous, the ability to shift shapes and appear to "Grant Wishes") Skotinomancy (Darkness Magic) Necromancy (Death Magic) Skiamancy (Shadow Magic)
