For whatever reason Wolfram found himself at a lake front admiring the view from the small patch of beach that it had and for the moment he was alone. The lake smelt different from the ocean and the sand seemed even a bit different at the lake he stared down at it and pushed a bit of sand back and forth with the tip of shoed foot. He had dressed warm since it was mildly chilly out that day and his Mother wasn't letting him out if he didn't dress warm. Something about catching his death if he walked out without some pants, comfortable shoes, and a nice warm shirt. She even flung a light coat at him before he left.

He somewhat grudgingly wore it as he walked to his destination.

Now he wasn't sure what to do though sitting on the nearby dock seemed pretty damn appealing and so with his crossbar bobbing happily above his head he moved toward it and walked toward the end of it where he plopped himself down rather contently. For now his golden eyes were pointed downward as he watched the array of fish swimming about under the surface. Lake fishes, he found, were also a bit different from oceanic fishes. Oh how the world seemed so full of different things.

This particular Lake Front was a favourite haunt for Tobias. It was generally less popular, but the view on any given day could stretch out forever; clear days were nice, but he liked looking out on cooler, foggy days. When he couldn't see the cities on the other side of the lake, he could pretend it stretched on forever. An eternity of endless water, just waiting for him to be old enough to go out on his own. Today, the lake was just foggy enough to hide the city on the other side, but not too foggy as to change the water colour, or to make it an unwelcoming area.

Despite Vidya's attempts, Tobias had gone out without his coat; she had nearly tackled him to put proper pants on him, and shoved some pretty Pirate-Approved folded top boots, but other than that? He wore his open necked shirt, his bandana, and definitely no coat.

Hands stuffed into his pockets (he refused to admit that his fingers were cold - that would mean his Mum was right!), Tobias wandered down the docks, instantly noticing the odd looking Masterless Puppet boy sitting on the edge of the end. The Young Pirate didn't try to be quiet, nor did he ignore or find an excuse for the creaking thud from each booted foot.

"Eylo Mate!" He said in a surprisingly friendly manner, plopping himself down beside the Puppet kid without the slightest invitation. "Don't ye be fallin in eh? Somma them fishies like to nibble." They were minnows, and they were harmless, but it was a fun little piece of information to pass on.

Wolfram didn't move to leave when he heard the other person coming to approach where he sat and didn't make them leave when they pretty much invited themselves to sit right next to him. He smirked a little at the words as he stirred from his reverie and gazed over at the 'intruder' seeming a bit amused at the way of speaking, "Aye? Haven't stuck anything in there yet, Friend, but I am sure if I would they wouldn't like the taste of it since I do not taste like things they normally eat."

He could always be proven wrong but he didn't really feel like leaning over the edge and sticking his hand in the water to test it either.

The marionette reached up and scratched at the bridge of his nose thoughtfully before he decided to just continue on with conversation for the moment, "Say, come here often, Friend? You seem rather at lease to be around here," Wolfram observed quietly. It was his first time at anything similar to this place, though he had been to a beach before that was before an ocean but it was entirely two different worlds as far as he was concerned.

"Mmm I dunno, Lotsa people put stuffs in there, they might like it." Tobias shrugged, folding his legs but leaning back on his hands. He was still considering letting this boy in on the fact that minnows weren't painful, but that was something he could always inpart later on. He was okay with the brief silence; in fact in the short amount of time between conversations, his red eyes had gone unfocused and he stared out into the lake. His eyes were still slightly unfocused when he moved to answer.

"Yeah! Whenever me Mum lets me." Nodding, he shifted a little bit, but continued to lean back, looking up at the sky for a moment. "I'ma be out there all the time when I get me boat." There was a slight pause and his eyes focused a little more. "Well not there, this lake'll be too small yeah, buuut...the ocean's me calling." He nodded sagely, scratching the bridge of his nose as well, though he detoured to pick at one of the barnacles on his face.

"Ne'er seen you here before though Mate, ya new?"

Wolfram chuckled a bit, "Maybe, good thing they're too small to do much harm," he observed quietly and shrugged as he leaned back a bit himself resting his hands on the dock a bit behind him he stared straight ahead where as the boy next to him stared more skyward. He listened to the words and glanced at him.

"That so? Ever been to the ocean?" He asked curiously with a bit of a raised eyebrow. It would be odd if the ocean was the boy's calling and he'd never gone to the ocean. Not that the marionette was one to judge, he'd not gone to the lake until just today.

He shrugged a bit before he nodded, "I suppose so, Friend. Never been to the lake before so I picked this day to be a good day for it," Wolfram grinned.
