How can I dress stylish at work with a uniform? Okay, so now I have a job at Goodwill. My dress colors are dark blue, khaki, and white. I know I have a little freedom with things such as make-up(yes!!) Any suggestions on how to dress like the fashionista that I am but not look like I am overdoing it and'or likely breaking rules(I lost my handbook...D; )
Thanks GD.
Okay, the tops are to be collared and the bottoms are to bed REGULAR pants.
Also, they go in a pattern:
Blue top, khaki bottoms
OR White top, blue bottoms.
I can't mix and match it no other way...

P.S. I may even pay out 1K to REALLY helpful advice, k?

Well I'm not really fashionable myself, but if I were in your position I would fall in love with accessories. Gold would go nicely with the pants and would stand out nice against the blue. If you have any sort of freedom with your uniform I would wear different blues to brighten up the look overall. Also try different hair styles with different clips and barrettes and so on, which add flare and color to your outfits. When it comes to make up, DON'T over do it because a lot of make up with a rather plain outfit will look off. Same with accessories, don't over do it. Keep things simple and tasteful. You also haven't said much about shoes, so maybe toss things up by wearing sneakers some days, flats some other days, sandals some other days, and so on.
On a related note, try to avoid big pockets on your butt with those pants, they'll make your a$$ look HUGE. Keep pockets small if you can.

Dragon's right. Keep in uniform as much as possible, but also be as creative as possible. You can easily make it look pretty amazing that way.
I guess you're just more girly than me. xD; I haven't had an official job yet, but I think I'd just want to be comfortable the whole time.
