Revisiting what were once my favorite YYH haunts over the past few months has made me realize a lot of things.
A. Yu Yu Hakusho has been hugely forgotten by most anime or manga fans. B. I love Yu Yu Hakusho more than ever. C. It's becoming increasingly difficult to find someone who wants to talk in depth about the series as much as you do. D. Hiei is still my favorite character - even after seven years.
All the guilds that were dedicated to Yu Yu Hakusho have now become graveyards, and only a few members still wander about in the shadows. This makes me very, very sad - Forever Fornever was one of my favorite guilds. But honestly, we all still love Yu Yu Hakusho, right? We must've - that's why we joined. Even though years have passed and we've moved on, broadened our anime/manga horizons, at one point, we liked YYH enough to join a guild devoted to it. And some of us still like the series.
So I propose a revival. Remember the times when you could post in the guild and get ten replies before the day was over? Remember when Yu Yu Hakusho topped the charts, not Naruto? I'd really like to re-establish that YYH-loving community.
So what can you do? Unfortunately, I don't have any eggs for you to hatch - but I'm pretty sure most of you don't want to carry around an egg 24/7 anyways - but you can help get the word out. Recruit new members. Contribute to new threads, and help revive old ones. Advertise [but subtly] in your YYH hangout threads, and invite people you know to be dedicated fans. Post banners in your sig if you want. Just get the word out.
Remember - a good series never becomes old; it merely becomes classic. Who's with me?

I'm with you I'm just so busy and I rarely get out ON gaia let alone in forums on gaia. I'm generally stalking guilds.

I am with you Wyndi dear! The reason I had to leave was because I started college... however do to medical reasons I had to withdraw and find myself with a bunch of free time on my hands. So long as there's discussion happening in here, I am more than willing to post.
My only lament is that I have bee COMPLETELY schooled when it comes to my Yu Yu Hakusho knowledge lately! Things I thought I knew have been turned on their @$$ and I feel really ashamed. Wyndi actually schooled me in the Yu Yu Hakusho thread just this evening, although I never told her ^^; I need to read the manga to completion for one... just have to scrape the money together to complete it... and freakin' find the rest of it of course, every time I have the cash, NO ONE HAS IT! arg, enraging! I need volumes 10-19, that's it! Getting knowledge from the anime alone is not enough, too many loop holes, that's been made obvious.
At any rate, I am going to be active here so long as there's going to be threads to be active in... I am also going to brush up on my Yu Yu Hakusho knowledge!

Haha, unfortunately, my knowledge on the manga is rather limited as well. Like most of the older YYH fans I know, I grew up anime-only [since the anime was finished being dubbed far before the manga]. What little knowledge I have of the manga comes from the poorly officially translated version, which has contradicted scanlations in many places. At this point, I'm not even sure what to believe anymore. [Like it or not, people, scanlators can translate things incorrectly too, people. I kind of wish I knew Japanese just so I could interpret the true original Japanese manga for myself.]
As far as being schooled goes...haha, you should've seen how terrible my knowledge was when deaddog first popped into the YYH thread. xD

Haha! I think a big huge "SORRY!" is in order. I know I used to be one of the main posters who was eager to keep this guild up and running, but yeah, my tastes branched out and then with school/marching season...
But now I'm on break! Marching season's over! ANNND, I recently watched one of my YYH DVDs and I was reminded why I LOVE the series so much. Honestly, I guess I was under the impression I'd outgrow it or something the older I got (I mean, I recently started rewatching Naruto Shipp as well and IT'S been a HUGE disappointment.) But I mean, just sitting there, laughing at all the jokes and gimmicks. My gosh, I love this show! heart
...Which reminds me, I have a thread to post! ^^ heart

I completely agree with everything you said! I've been busy due to college, but this guild is still one of my favorite hangouts (when it's active and I have time), I think it would be a good idea to make a guild recruitment thread, since one of the first places people looking to join guilds go is the "Guilds Charter and Barter" forum.
