An elderly? teacher is setting up the classroom's lesson plan, when students begin to enter, "Huh? Who's there?! Oh, a bunch of kids who seem to think their powers are SO hard to control, and only because they don't even try to control them in the first place! Never mind the collateral damage you whippersnappers cause, and are damned lucky not to be held accountable! In my day, whether it was us or a monster that wrecked something, we had to pay for it out of our own pockets! I suppose you kids need a lesson of some kind, so take your seat and zip your lips! You won't be giving these old ears any lip while I'm teaching!" He motions his cane at the students to indicate he's serious about this.

Susa's eyes widen as she hears the teacher's comment when she enters the room

how could i have been so unseeingshe thinks to herself as she swiftly and obediently takes her seat

The teacher looks over the students, and seemingly glares at them, and with a hit of the cane on the ground, speaks, "Let me make one thing clear to all of you kids: You are all failing this class at this point in time! You want a passing grade, you are going to EARN it!" He motions his cane at the students again, "You kids have it too easy nowadays, but you're going to know what it means to have to WORK for a change! As such, I'm going to give you your first assignment! Outside, I'm going to summon a monster for you to fight. You simply have to defeat it. BUT.... you are not allowed to use your powers, and if you damage ANYTHING that isn't the monster, or if the monster wrecks anything, YOU ALL AUTOMATICALLY FAIL!"

fight a monster...with no powers...and we cant destroy ANYTHING how the heck r we supposed to do that?! with our bare hands? im not strong...sure i've won fights before but those were with people not monsters!!

"WITH automatic failure for everyone in the class if anything gets damaged!" the instructor glares, "The best way you kids are going to learn to care for surroundings is to have to protect them under heavy restrictions and heavy costs! Only when you're ready will you be allowed to use powers in my course again! Oh, and here's the monster you'll be fighting..." the old? man shows an image of a Golem, "By the way, the actual monster's alot bigger!"

Michael furrowed his brows "That makes no sense, in order to destroy something like that we'll need either powers or heavy weaponry. The only other option is to use our surroundings, which tends to damage them... unless of course you have a tank waiting for us outside? "

"No! You're going to figure out how to make your enemy destroy himself!" the elderly? instructor whacked his cane on his desk. "You WILL have a situation one day where you have access to NONE of your powers, no weapons, or even viable objects around you to fight with! That's when you need your enemy to do himself in! It's a matter of figuring out how! The stakes are only increased by your having to protect EVERYTHING around you while you're at it! You never know when you'll actually be accountable for your battles, which should be ALWAYS, like in my day, we had to restrain all of our powers and heavy weapons, because if we killed anyone, or destroyed anything, we'd be accountable; and if a monster did the same, we were accountable because it was after us, or we were fighting it, as the monster certainly can't pay if it's dead, now CAN IT?!"

We might as well team up and use our own abilities. Alone they're not very powerful but together we might as well be able to take down a god.

geez...me spoiled?were i came from the kids worked for money and love from their parents...y does he have 2 be so mean maybe its because hes old...maybe lets just focas on the monster and defeating for now
