The ride from the hospital to Basil's house didn't take as long as it seemed to, as both the driver and passenger were tense about what had been happening. Pulling up close to the front, Kanna stepped out and went to knock at the door. "Hello? Basil, you home?" She called, glancing back at the car.
Piaotte stared into space, eyes blank for the most part. She hadn't been too cheerful lately, especially since the doctors had been insisting she didn't get too many visitors other than her mother. Pizzicato, Basil, and Epsilon hadn't been allowed in for the past month, after what had happened involving IVs and eating utensils.
Of course, they didn't know about that....The doctors had said she just needed to rest to them, not that she had attempted suicide 3 times in the past 2 months.
It wasn't just the depression either. It was mostly fear. She knew very well that that man had been beating her mother more lately, demanding to know where she was. Raidere had taken it in stride, but it didn't stop the bruises from becoming more evident. Frankly, she didn't want to live in a world where it would always be her fault, and where the people who loved her only got hurt.
The star perked up at the knocking, suddenly beaming ear to ear. "SHE'S HEEEEREEE!" Pizzicato squealed in delight, tackling Epsilon into a big hug. "Pia's gonna live with us and it's gonna be so much fun and I can't wait to see herrr~!"

Epsilon had been sitting out the couch eating some takeout pizza (to which Forny and screamed about) and was enjoying his last slice when someone knocked on the door. Before he could even move he was being glomped by an over excited Pizzi.
"I know, I know!" Eppi laughed, tone indulgent as he hugged his friend back. He kissed Pizzi's cheek and untangled himself, bounding to the door just as Basil opened it.
"Of course. We've been expecting you." Basil opened the door wider for Kanna, motioning for her to get Piaotte and step inside. "How's Pia doing?" He would have gone out to help, but Molly was sleeping in the basement somewhere so Basil would be near useless for the whole business.

She winced a little at the question, looking awkward. "Well....Not so good." Kanna mumbled. "And I'm not talking about her previous injuries...." She stopped talking as soon as the two little stars came bounding up, smiling slightly. "Shall I go get her then? Doctor says she shouldn't be up and about too much, but with those casts, it would be hard for her to do so anyway."
Pizzi perked up at seeing the car, grinning ear to ear. "Piaaaaaaaa~!" He squealed, running past the two adults and over to the car, looking to be in pure joy.

Basil nodded. "Yes. From what I've gleaned from Pizzi it's totally understandable. And please do." He fuzzed Epsilon's hair telling the boy to go and get Forny in case Kanna needed help or something. He didn't want the child rushing out to the car like Pizzi, unsure of how Kanna would react.
Epsilon returned with a sour looking (as usual) Forny. Obviously he was going to help out but he wasn't going to be nice about it.

Kanna went to go get the wheelchair out of the back of the car, sighing as she watched Pizzi peek out at Pia from the window.
Pia was still staring off into space, almost as if she didn't notice where she was, or even the fact that her little star was looking at her.

Forny slouched around behind Kanna, helping her get the wheelchair down and making sure she was able to handle Pia alright. If Basil had seen the look in the girl's eyes, he would have been appalled. Though, blind as he was, he still knew she was going to need a lot of comfort.
Epsilon went to Pizzi and drew him away from Pia. "C'mon let's go make sure the bedroom is ready." He pulled his friend back towards the house, know that something was WRONG with Pia and not wanting Pizzi to be subjected to it.

It was obvious that the musician was uncomfortable as she helped Pia out, giving Forny a nervous smile. "I....If there's anything you need, just call." She murmured quietly. "I'll pay for the expenses. I owe Raidere one."
Pizzi had picked up on the sense of discomfort and the whole state of things, and pouted as he was pulled away. Though he didn't fight Epsilon at all, it was clear he wouldn't be giving up any time soon on cheering her up. "Kay~." He hummed, following him.

"Nah, don't worry about it. Basil is used to freeloaders." Forney rumbled, though not in a particularly mean way since he was a moocher himself. He followed Kanna, helping her get the wheelchair over the steps of the porch and into the house. Basil was the last to follow, shutting the door as they all headed inside.
"Mmh." Epsilon agreed. "What do you think Kanna would like for dinner?" He asked, making a show of smoothing out the bedspread in what would be Kanna's room.

They got her in without much trouble, Kanna sighing as she went back out to grab the suitcases of clothes and one suspiciously violin-shaped present. She set them in the hall, stretching slightly.
"Well....That's everything."
Pia blinked, though she wasn't any less spacey. She looked around, noticing Forney and Basil with her blank eyes. "....Where are we?" She asked, sounding just as dull. "Who are they...?"
Pizzi thought, helping out with smoothing the bedspread. "Well...She really likes icecream. But for food...Oh! I know! She really loves couscous and grilled vegetables and lemon marinated chicken!" He perked up, grinning.

"Wonderful." Basile smiled, nodding in Kanna's direction. "Would you like to stay for dinner? It should only be an hour or so." He was still smiling, even as he stomped on Forny's instep when the man made a comment about Pia's weirdness.
"I'm Basil." He replied to the girl, motioning to himself and then Forny. "And this is Forny. It's nice to meet you. What's your name?" He asked very gently, not wanting to frighten Pia or anything.
Epsilon nodded with a smile. "That sounds easy enough. Lemme go tell Forny. I'll be right back." He assured, clearly meaning for Pizzi to stay right in the bedroom. He was still feeling weird about letting Pia actually talk or really see Pia, not wanting him to get upset.

"Dinner?" She obviously perked up, but went back to being a little sheepish. "I'd hate to cause you the trouble...But if you insist, I'd be more than happy to stay. The kids can take care of themselves tonight, I guess." Kanna laughed slightly.
At Basil's introduction she withdrew back into herself, staying silent.
Pizzi watched him go, sighing. He already knew there was a lot was wrong, but he could fix it! He definitely could fix it! Because he was HER wish and by the gods, he wasn't going to let her stay broken!

Basil smiled. "It's no trouble. Really. Forny always makes a lot of food." He felt another stab of concern for Pia, but he kept smiling as he ushered Kanna and Pia into the cozy kitchen. Forney had already stomped ahead and was already starting to make a meal.
Epsilon still didn't want Pizzi being around Pia, but he went up the stairs to get the other boy anyways. "Well, they're all settled in the kitchen." He told Pizzi with a small smile. "Pia seems well."

"I'm looking forward to it. He seems like he'd be the type to be a good chef." Kanna teased a little, smiling brightly. "Oh, I'll have to let you meet my kids sometime! They're adorable."
At Epsilon's insistence that Pia was fine, Pizzi smiled a little. "You don't have to lie to me...I know she's not." He hugged his friend tightly, laughing a little. "But we'll do our best to fix that!"

"I just don't want you to be hurt Pizzi." Epsilon murmured softly, returning the tight hug and kissing the blond's cheek. He didn't say any more as he took Pizzi's hand so that they could walk down to the kitchen together.
"We're here." He chirped, interrupting Basil's and Kanna's conversation.

"I know...And thank you." Pizzi replied, smiling. He walked down with his bestest friend in the whole wide universe, and found himself shying a little from Kanna as they went to the kitchen.
Kanna stopped at the announcement, looking down at the pair. Eventually a big grin found her face as she hummed happily. "They're so cuuute~! Especially together!" She looked down at them happily
