Day 2
The day after the exploration of the ruins in the Highland Caves and the capture of the first Regi, Regirock, a map was discovered in a stone capsule revealing the locations of the other Ancient Pokemon. Next on Shadow's list was RegIce. Shadow walked up the snowy path leaving a trail of foot prints in its soft white surface, he sighed and dug his face into his scarf, "This mission seems more of a drag then I thought, well as long as it keeps me from hearing Verin's constant yelling and bickering." Shadow walked along the path then pulling is hands out of his pockets, he reached into is pack and pulled out the patterned map from it's silver capsule Shadow put it in. He closely inspected the map, digging his face into his scarf to protect his nose and mouth from the sub-artic winds.
Moments passed, soon he gently rolled the ancient map up and put it back into the silver capsule and back in his pack. "So just a few yards away." Shadow said to himself as he walked along the path. Soon he was a few hundred feet above the ground where he first started. He soon stopped to a giant block of ice to the side that was, what looked like punctured into Mt' Glacier by a massive hammer and the giant block was the nail. Shadow slowly pulled his hand touching the shiny cold surface of the ice. "Man, legends gotta make everything difficult, Typhlosion's Flamethrower might do the trick." he said pulling out a Poke'Ball. "Typhlosion use Flamethrower." he said quietly, soon the volcanic Pokemon appeared with a flash of light. Typhlosion looked at the block of ice then inhaled, releasing a furious Flamethrower, Typhlosion kept it going up to a couple minutes then quit. The surface of the ice fizzled and sweat the melted ice away, yet the ice was only melted 1/4 of the way. "This is gonna be a pain, Typhlosion our best bet is a Blast Burn, this ice is made my Regice so it's gonna take a powerful move like Blast Burn to melt it quicker." Shadow said then Typhlosion started to have a red type aura appear around it. Shadow felt the heat coming from it's body and flame on it's neck which started to burn furiously. Soon Typhlosion screamed sending a horrible flame into the block of ice, it kept the Blast Burn going for a few more seconds, soon there was a burst of wind gushing out from the side of the flames indicating it entered the caveren. Typholosion stopped its flame, Shadow walked in and so did Typhlosion lighting the way in the cave. The cave had Ancient Text all over its sides, "Well this should be it, this text is markings for the Regis, so up ahead." he said while wiping sweat from his forehead that had been produced from Typhlosions flame earlyer. Soon there was a light up ahead in the pathway. "Almost there." Shadow thought to himself. Soon him and Typhlosion came to an opening, it was frozen, the ice combined with the sun made the room sparkle. It was a frozen paradise, Snorunts, Glalies, Spheals and other ice types hid behind the crystal like structures as Shadow and Typhlosion walked into the room. The floor was frozen as well but was also majestic, as Shadow stepped onto the frozen floor he felt no slip on his shoes. "Interesting, a frozen floor that isn't slippery, but any who. Regice awaken! I have come to challenge you and request for you to join me!" Shadow said while his voice echoed throughout the chamber startling some of the baby Snorunt. Soon a echoing noise was herd and soon Regice appeared from the ice wall in front of him and Typhlosion. Regice skated along the floor like some ice skater at a skating ring. "Alright Regice its time for you to make yourself useful, Typhlosion I'll need you in this fight just not right now, Umbreon should be able to get some damage in." Shadow returned Typhlosion and then pulled out a Moon Ball. "Umbreon lets get this battle going," Umbreon appeared with a white flash, "Umbreon start of with an Iron Tail!" Umbreon started to run up to Regice with its tail glowing, it jumped up then swung at Reice with its tail. As soon as Umbreon swung, Regice skated to the side then used Lock On, a red mark appeared on Umbreon's side.
"Damn, Umbreon is a automatic target now. "Shadow said to himself. Regice charged up its Hyper Beam and fired it at Umbreon. "Umbreon brace yourself!" he yelled. Regice's Hyper Beam hit Umbreon knocking it back into the ice wall. "Umbreon! Damn, c'mon Umbreon get up!" Shadow said, Umbreon stuggled to stand up and was panting, Regice then released a Icy Wind hitting Umbreon again. "Umbreon!" Umbreon toppled back into the wall again and fell to the ground fainted. "Regice is far stronger then Regirock was, Umbreon return." Shadow said pulling out the Moon Ball, the red beam enveloped over Umbreon then soon been absorbed by the Moon Ball. "Speed, thats something I need and high fire power, well Typhlosion I guess your my only choice at the moment." he said pulling out a Poke'Ball then throwing it. Typhlosion appeared with a flash and roared. "Typhlosion lets not let Regice get any moves in! Falmethrower!" Typhlosion let a flurry of flames out. Regice soon got hit by the flames making it stumble back. "Follow up with a Flame Wheel!" Shadow yelled. Typhlosion curled up then caught itself on fire and rolled towards Regice hitting it head on. Regice then gained its wits and fired a Icy Wind, Typhlosion stood there and took the hit. "Heh your gonna have to do better then that." Shadow said then Regice used Lock On and fired a Hyper Beam. "Sh*t Typhlosion counter that with a Flamethrower!!" Typhlosion fires a Flamethrower at the Hyper Beam, a huge explosion spreads and causing a burst of wind to gush everywhere. The other Ice Pokemon hid behind the ice to protect themselves. As the smoke and sparkles from the ice disappeared Regice was standing, it looked tired and then on the other side Typhlosion who looked more hurt and tired. "Alright old pal you think you got one more move in you?" he said looking at Typhlosion.
Typhlosion panted and tried to stand up, it squinted it's eyes in pain then soon started to glow and its flame raged, Shadow looked at Typhlosion with a smile, "Blaze.... I guess that means yes. Typhlosion lets wrap this up get in close then hit Regice with a massive Blast Burn!" Typhlosion took off running at Regice with amazing speed, Regice was soon rested and was readying another Hyper Beam, Typhlosion was right in front of Regice. "Typhlosion now Blast Burn!!" Shadow yelled, Typhlosion had a red aura appear around him then it fired the Blast Burn right onto Regice, Regice soon fired its Hyper Beam at the same time. Another huge explosion erupted and it was twice as strong as the last one. "Ngh Typhlosion!!" Shadow yelled, after a few minutes the chamber cleared Typhlosion and Regice both on the ground fainted. "Heh, Regice you sure were a pain." he said to himself, then pulling out two Poke'Balls, one was Typhlosions and one was an empty one for Regice. Shadow returned Typhlosion then threw the Poke'Ball at Regice. The Poke'Ball shook then the button on the center of the Poke'Ball flashed indicating a successful catch. Shadow walked in the middle of the chamber, other Ice Pokemon walked out from hiding and looked at Shadow who had defeated their leader, he picked up the Poke'Ball then looked at it and said. "Two down, only two to go."
