Bio: With his supreme knowledge, being the leader of the Vanir Gods and what not, Njord did a little magic and created Nero, his younger and childish personality embodied. Now the ancient god can take a long deserved break while his younger self runs around and has fun. But for a smart god, was that really a smart thing to do...?
Other: He just changed his look and name to be a little more normal in this time.

In Awesome nerd's defense, she was only trying to make the connection between gods to help the other better understand. She wasn't saying that they are one and the same, or even very similar, only that the Norse gods are a collection of mythical beings created by the Norse much like the Greeks created tales of their own gods to explain why things are the way that they are.
And Marvel Thor (don't mean to be rude, but you spelled Marvel incorrectly) is of a different caliber than the original Viking god. To compare them is to compare favorite characters: it is foolish, and depends entirely on opinion.
