Every time during the winter when I play the Winter concerts and such, my lips keep chapping up. To all you fellow trumpeters, does your lips get chapped as well? And is this normal?

To your question yes sometimes my lips get chapped as well during the winter not a whole lot. Yes it normal, your licking your lips and when the cold air mets them it drys them out. put on chap-stick but remove it before you play your trumpet, or have the mouth piece on your lips. Trust me your not alone. 4laugh
