I think the best ideas that could go into here (aside from the obvious) are that perhaps we could find teachers who know the African variants of French. Particularly because a lot of west African colonies have their own sort of variety, and there are a lot of coined local words that don't exist in "standard" French. Things like that. It would be supremely helpful for someone to, say, be specifically from or studied extensively the dialect of French spoken in Guinea, as it is quite different from the French spoken in France.
