Throgmorton: Chris's ever present stuffed cat. Large ginger tabby-like cat with yellow eyes.

Meaning: "It's a joke. My sister always said I had nine lives."

Nicknames: Cat

Personality: A kind boy, but Cat seems to follow orders and what others are doing more than he should. He is a nine lived enchanter, training under Christopher Chant to be the next Chrestomanci. He loves music, despite being bad at playing the violin. He seems to have the nasty habit of trying to prove people wrong, leading to his own demise at times.

He also seems to have an inate fear of his mother. He seems to distrust adults in general, clinging to Chris. Hopefully he will be able to pry himself away to make friendships with others. Like his mentor, Cat can be quite rude when angered, and is known for being whiny.
