I've noticed in most games an observer is always hovering above an opponent's army.

I find that when the observer is still it is exceptionally hard to see unless you are wasting time looking at it.

However, I have also found that it is rather easy to find the observer if you use your scroll wheel to zoom in and out as the distortion in space is extremely visible even when the probe is standing still.

So next time you are playing and don't want your Protoss opponent to know where to tech, maybe a quick scroll-wheel up-down over your base and army will help you spot the observer. :O

I already play on low while online, I wonder how much changing those two would affect my fps and what not
