It seemed Ephraim would be the biggest target for the most awkward and uncomfortable moments of his life, so long as he remained on this island. Maybe it was time he got everyone and left the cursed island? Had he thought he experienced the worst, he had a whole new one to come----and that moment was now. Above the oblivious and troubled king, little did he know, a tear ripped across the sky several feet above him, and a series of strange magical energies began surging from within it in a deep crimson red, practically dripping from the tear, surrounding that crimson was a deep pink glow, until all of those shades of energies combined into one brilliant flash of light, that may of caught his attention, but it was already to late, as a figure dropped from that space, at first glance he may already realize the figure of a woman, with long pink hair, and crimson eyes that already set on the mysterious man below. Clothed in a hint of elegance with a dark touch, those crimson eyes remained on the teal-haired man as she watched him for several moments, her guard was up, and that was never a good thing for anyone who meant harm, especially to someone very close to her. Below the bottoms of her shoes was something he definitely didn't see in this world, a crimson red jellyfish, just floating there, and providing her a place to stand at a distance, while her mind tried to work through what was happening. Narrowing her eyes as she began to scan her surroundings, what she saw.....didn't look threatening, in the distance she clearly could see unknown people having fun, laughing and oblivious to what was now invading on their fun gathering, as if she wanted to! Her gaze finally returned to the one below her, as the Jellyfish began to lower, letting her step off slowly, all the while her guard remained at the highest. "......This doesn't look like the Astral Express...And you. I don't know you. That look on your own face tells me you are confused, so I can see it was not you who pulled us here...where ever here is. Care to enlighten us? " Her expression turned suddenly, seemingly from those colder eyes, to irritated. "No.You stay there.." And her eyes suddenly turned for only a second, changing from those deep red eyes, to two tones of soft blue and pink, only to flash right back to those cold red eyes! "I will stay in charge, not until I know it's safe, little frost princess.." Gosh, did she ever look insane already. Maybe Ephraim should really be the one on alert!

While Carmen made her way to escape the uncomfortable situation she found herself in, with as much that was going on in her mind, it was possible she may not of even noticed that she was secretly being followed! Slipping behind any object that would give her any kind of cover, the stealthy wolf-eared teen had gotten close enough to continue observing her for a moment longer. Really, it would be completely shocking to her had it gone so long without her being noticed. She did love to try and sneak up on her, it was kind of a game she never stopped doing since she was young. Though, this wasn't exactly a playful game this time. Her reasons of following her were due to the conversation she over-heard of Ephraim and her sister there. Had she still not noticed her, Miya finally stepped out into the open, speaking just loud enough for her to hear.. "I wasn't exactly eavesdropping, I mean...It was hard not to hear, I wasn't far away from you two.." She was up in a tree, apparently neither of them had noticed her then! "Alright--I'm just going to say it....Carmen,sis, It's really, really long over due time for you to stop worrying about me, what he said...It is true, isn't it? You spent so much time all these years worrying about me, that you never stopped to enjoy anything for yourself. All you've ever known is how strong you can be, winning, and over working yourself to death in the Forest Kingdom. I'm going to save you this time, and tell you..Live! Go out and find a cute guy or girl, as long as they're good for you! Have fun, you know, real fun. I can take care of myself, and even better If I knew you were out there doing things for you. " She paused a moment, giving a little glance around for any other particular eyes that might be watching. She really didnt trust a certain Queen... "I don't want to go back to the Forest Kingdom. " She turned to her again. "It's never been a comfortable place, and I think even you can agree to that..No one likes us there. It's...It just doesn't feel right. It's so full of people who judge everything, and they were even happy to see their own Prince be kicked out of his only home, away from his family. Who wants to stay with people that horrible? Nothing was his fault, yet Aeon was the one to suffer. And they cheered for it. Queenie could have dealt with it in a gentler way, she could have done something other then destroy her sons life..I can't go back to that. I can't stand looking at anyone in that Kingdom. I don't think you should go back either....there's so much more out here in the world for you to enjoy, no more judgement or hate against you. Just possibilities that you should have! " She took a moment, giving her time to process all she had to say..."A-Anyway..Down with the heavy, let's go back to you're not being alone thing anymore! .....Uh, you know who I liked? The one I really, REALLY liked? The same person who was exiled from his kingdom. --I figured it out though, he has no interest in me. Regardless of his feelings, I still care for him. That'll never change.. There's aso someone else, I guess once I realized Aeon and I would never be a thing, I was able to move on from that dream...and someone I got to know better here, well..I realized how fun he is, and how much fun we have together. He's so cute too! It's just to bad he's the prince of the Frozen Kingdom..." She said with a little laugh.."Yeah, I see that not working out so well. Peasant Miya, keeps falling for Princes." It was a really silly thing, wasn't it! "...So, now that I've told you all..that...tell me, because I know there has to be someone on your mind, someone you're interested in but won't say. You can tell me though, come on....Let's hear it. Who do you like?? "

Carmen As Carmen made her way away from the nosy king who clearly had no idea what he was talking about, she let out a short breath, her form being enveloped by soft magic for a moment before it dispersed, her bikini replaced with her usual attire. That was the first time she had worn a swimsuit that she could think of. She hadn't had many opportunities to relax prior to spending time with this group, or perhaps she just never chose to. She wasn't very good at it. Her mind was always racing, always thinking of possibilities, good and bad. She had always been that way. Her ears twitched as Miya stepped out, and she turned towards her. She might have caused her to jump if she tried. For once, she didn't notice her there. Too lost in her own head. For... no reason in particular. She grinned at her, though the grin was strained, and tired. "Don't put any stock in what that human said. He just thinks he has a lot of wisdom, but he's just grasping at straws." In truth, his wisdom was almost alarming. She wouldn't have expected it from someone who spends so much energy on martial ability. Sure, his intelligence was serviceable, average or perhaps slightly above for a human. But his wisdom... that was certainly something remarkable. She gave Miya an exaggerated shrug, shaking her head. "I enjoy myself plenty. You think I don't have fun dominating the High Princess? And now the guy she likes is clearly enamored with me. Another easy win." She chuckled. "You're my baby sister, Miya. Even if I cared about romance, that wouldn't change. Or is your older sister too boring to hang out with now?" Perhaps there was some truth to it, that her life had been devoted largely to Miya. They never knew their parents. Carmen's ludicrous talents should have earned her a childhood and adolescence of privilege and enjoyment, but here she was, in her early twenties, and she had spent her formative years fighting and clawing for opportunities to keep her little sister clothed, fed, and sheltered. "And you know what, Miya? I wouldn't change a thing." She said, her grin still tired, but genuine. "Besides, I've gotten to hear you praise me all the time while we grew up. That's more than worth it." A lot of older siblings had to deal with at least some period of resentment, but aside from sparse moments any family would have, Carmen certainly had her little sister's adoration. Miya had rarely wanted for anything, and to Carmen, that meant she did exactly what she needed to. "Hmm..." She considered what her sister said, pondering their place in the Forest Kingdom. "...Well, it's not that simple. Our people have a deep hatred for Reapers. That the prince became one, well... I know Queen Althesa did all she could to at least let him keep his life." Even knowing he'd hate her, as long as he lived, that was enough for her. "Even if he had stayed, if she forced everyone to accept it, the prince would be constantly targeted. People would try to kill him themselves, and he'd be a pariah. Logically, exile may have given him a better chance to survive. But yeah, I get it. It's an ugly problem, and ugly problems don't have pretty solutions." She shook her head. That entire ordeal was a sordid affair, yet another reason to hate Reapers. No matter what people like Velora preached, the fact of the matter--in Carmen's viewpoint--was that they were unnatural. Even if they weren't all evil, they shouldn't exist. All those "good" Reapers could just as easily have been Serenitians--should have been, if not for the ritual that created them so long ago. "Regardless, if you don't want to return, nobody will make you. You have a place with these overly trusting humans. They seem pretty fond of you anyway." Yes, they loved the annoying wolf girl. Perhaps Carmen's inability to read social cues extended beyond just her own standing. Carmen crossed her arms, listening to her try to lighten the mood. "...A boyfriend? You think either of those two are good enough for you? ..." Her eyes narrowed slightly. Well, whoever got with Miya would certainly be under a lot of scrutiny. "What? No... I've never even thought about it until-" Why did that annoying king come to her mind? She scoffed, rolling her eyes. "No, I have better things to do. More importantly... the two you're talking about are Aeon and Kaden, right?" Most in her position would use the honorifics of "prince" before their names, but Carmen didn't seem to care enough to observe the proper procedure. "Well, which do you want then? Come on, which do you prefer? Or do you want both?" Well, Miya might regret sharing that information. When she needed something, big sister was here to grant her any wish. And knowing Carmen, if Aeon really had been avoiding her, he wouldn't be able to much longer. (( OOC: ))

Miya placed her hands behind her back, walking forward towards her, only to stop when she was just a few feet away. Leaning forward, her arms now wrapped around her sister in a hug. "You're pretty terrible at lying, you know! " If anyone knew her the best, it was her, of course. No one came in-between sisterly knowledge! Releasing her after a moment, she stepped back, looking at her, it wasn't hard to see the concern in her eyes. "Mmhmm! As far as I see it, Alisa hasn't made a move on him yet, so the doors wide open for you to make it instead. You deserve the best, and Ephraim is certainly the best. Isn't he? He's everyone's hero, always coming to the rescue ..I think maybe, you should let him come to your rescue now." She winked at her playfully. "You need love just as much as anyone, don't think you don't. You've done way, WAY more then anyone on this planet, or any world, has done. " She paused a moment, listening to what she had to further say. "No, not at all! You're never boring to hang out with. If anything, I was thinking...we don't hang out enough. But that's not exactly my point! I want you to think about YOU now, think about your happiness and future. I'm not helpless anymore. " And that was true in more ways then when she was young and helpless. She really could take care of herself, and one day Carmen would see that! But not quite yet, she still had to perfect a few things before dropping that surprise she kept so well hidden for several years, even from the most impossible to hide from, her sister. Unless someone decided to launch an attack on the island, her secret wouldn't have to be spilled so soon. "I didn't understand all that you did for me when I was younger, but now that I do, I at least want that one thing to change, as long as the mystery lover doesn't take first place of me, we'll be perfectly fine! " There was that little wink again. "Serenitians were said to be so peaceful, so forgiving, yet...think about it this way, if one human decided they wanted to just kill any one of us for no reason other then their enjoyment, would you hate all humans for it? The same applies to the Reapers. Because one Reaper acted in the worst possible way, do we really have the right to judge them all? There may of been a time where I felt the same as everyone else, and you know when that was? It was before we ever got to leave the Forest Kingdom. The Forest Kingdom is full of negativity, that negativity spreads like a plague, it infects everyone in it, and those infected grow more cold, and less friendly. You know that well, almost everyone in the Kingdom dislike you and I, they are nothing but jerks to us." She paused. "...My point is, once I started leaving the Kingdom and adventuring on my own, I met someone really cool and surprisingly strong, despite her looks. She saved me one day, even while knowing who I was, she risked herself to save me. That person was a Reaper. After that, we became friends, and to this day, she's my best friend! Her girlfriend, also a Reaper, wants to stop this violence between Reapers and Serenitians too..Then there is crazy Alice, although she's weird and a bit crazy, she's not dangerous. Not to us, anyway! There are plenty of good Reapers we have yet to meet I feel. But even knowing this, those in the Forest Kingdom would still probably want to take their lives..because all they know is judging everyone for the worst. They don't want to think they are the ones in the wrong. As for the Queen, she's the ruler of the Kingdom. It is her rule, not the citizens. What she said goes, isn't that right? If she was more understanding, more forgiving, she would have seen the separation of good and bad Reapers, those who took away the King, and the one who acted with Aeon..They were bad, and deserve the worst punishment ever. But Aeon was a victim, he was the victim of a Reaper's attack, and it was HE who suffered, the Queen could have instead helped him, been there for her son, but she fell into the citizens rage and hate, and went with what THEY wanted to please them. She never needed to exile him, after that, I lost all respect for her, and the people of the kingdom who wished for his death and exile. " "You shouldn't return either, you have no reason to. She'll only overwork you to death.." She crossed her arms. "That Queen doesn't even treat you well, in my opinion. After everything you've done for her, all the work you've done..She doesn't deserve you. You should just stay with these 'overly trusting humans' and do what I said. You don't exist to slave in a hateful kingdom! " It was..quite the heavy conversation, despite that, Miya still tried to find a moment to lessen the negativity. She was a happy, fun loving girl, after all. "Nuh uh. More important things to do, would be you confessing your feelings to who ever it is you like, if it isn't Ephraim, I know there is someone! Were talking about you, now, answer. Who does my cool big sis have eyes for? Tell me! Tell me now! " This was quite the game! "I'm not telling you til you tell me who you like! " Who would win, though? Could Carmen really deny those cute, curious eyes of her sister!

Why was she still here? It certainly wasn't comfortable, every now and then she would look over her shoulder, that paranoia would never leave, no matter what. Not everyone here enjoyed the company of a Reaper, and there was also the eerily quiet Krul. That was never a good sign and it didn't help to calm her nerves. Still, she was here. Maybe it was the sound of the others laughter, or just knowing there was so many others around, in some way, there was comfort there, even if it wasn't complete. Her gaze of the ocean drifted upwards, to the sky that was slowly darkening as the sun began it's decent, she at least wanted to watch it go down, and maybe enjoy a little time at the beach at night. As far as she heard, it was the most beautiful at night under the moonlight and twinkling stars above. Before she left, that was all she wanted to see before she went back to her even more uncomfortable home in the Reaper realm. As it continued to darken, and the moonlight became even more visible, Viola dropped back into the sand, laying back with her hands behind her head, and those pretty vibrant lime green eyes gazing up at the stars and moon above..

"This world sure isn't all sunshine and rainbows, but there are people who have taught me to never give up. They've been guiding me, and showing me all the beautiful things in the world. I love them, and I love what they love. We're connected by this sword. It will burn up the darkness, to make way for light! This will be... our path... BACK HOME!" "Haaah!" The woman with goddess-like powers didn't seem opposed to occupying her time with fun, as she slid against the sand, kicking up the volleyball before it hit her side. Quickly thereafter she would leap up to follow it, turning in the air and doing a 180 backflip to spike the ball with her foot, kicking it with such speed that the volleyball briefly caught fire before slamming into the sand. "Heh! Looks like we win!" She said, placing her hands on her hips triumphantly."Kiana says "we," but Bronya barely did anything." Bronya said quietly. Not that she minded terribly. She'd rather be playing video games anyway--Kiana was just very insistent."I couldn't have done it without you, Bronya! You were right, joining these guys on this vacation was worth it!""Ugh..." Cloud covered his face, shaking his head. He had never been destroyed so utterly, and his opponents didn't look like much beforehand. Then again, neither did his partner. "This is your fault, Yuffie." He said flatly, crossing his arms. "I won every time I teamed with Ephraim. All right, let's have a rematch. Tifa! You want to join my team? I don't want this deadweight." He said, pointing his thumb towards Yuffie."Heh, bring it, blondie." Kiana said with a grin, though her gaze wandered backwards again. There were plenty of people having fun, both on the beach and off it, but there were also a few who seemed to be avoiding it.Bronya followed Kiana's gaze subtly, and it wasn't the first time she had seen it wander over there. "...Sorry, Kiana, but I still have to do my dailies. You'll have to find another partner." She said, walking off the sand and towards the shade. Upon taking a seat, she couldn't help but stare wistfully towards the sea for a short while. This wonderful view... she wished she could show it to her, too. Just like she promised."...Heh, thanks, Bronya." Kiana muttered. She knew exactly why she had done that. "Just a second!" She told Cloud, running over to grab her next partner. "Hey! You know, looking so lonely doesn't suit cute girls like us." Kiana said exuberantly to Viola, putting her hands on her hips. "Y'know, your hair color reminds me a lot of my best friend. Would you mind playing on my team? It'll be just like having Mei-senpai with me, and I'll be able to channel the strength of 100 Kianas!" She had such a big, genuine smile, it was almost hard to doubt. It was strange sometimes, talking like she used to, back when she had no worries. Back when there was a lot less going on in her head. She had gone through a lot... but she had ultimately come out a better version of herself. Despite everything, it was still Kiana. And that wouldn't change again. (( OOC: ))

Carmen "Ugh. The best? At what? Having zero social skills? Being pretty good at fighting? Even if he's above average for a human, we know that's not all that impressive. After all, you saw how Kaden dominated him, yes? You had front row seats, even." She cackled a bit at that, her grin widening. "Only thing I'd get out of that would be the satisfaction of ******** Alisa's crush in front of her, but knowing that pervert, she'd probably enjoy that." Whether Carmen had feelings for the man or not, getting her to admit to something like a crush would be comparable to pulling teeth from an angry bear. Carmen rolled her eyes, shaking her head. "I was an older sister, nothing more to it." Any older sister would go above and beyond for their little sister in the absence of parental figures, or at least that's how Carmen saw it. That's what she believed should be the case. "My happiness comes from making sure you're doing well, and from my own little experiments. I don't need romance to be happy." Not that she had ever tried it, but she just didn't really think it was for her. Maybe certain aspects would be fun, but the opening up, and being vulnerable? She'd rather not imagine that. "What? No one dislikes you. Did someone tell you that? Who was it? What did they say? Did they say they did or someone else? What are their names?" Hell had nothing on the fury Carmen would visit upon someone who mildly inconvenienced or was a little mean to her sister. "I'm not saying Reapers can't be good, but they shouldn't be Reapers in the first place. They could just as easily be Serenitians, like they would've been without the ritual. It's unnatural. And a lot of them use their dark powers for dark purposes. Obviously, if I thought your friend Viola was like Krul, I wouldn't let her near you." Miya might think she kept a lot of secrets from Carmen, but that was very difficult to do. She sighed, crossing her arms. "It's not that simple, Miya. Even if I disliked the queen like you do--which I don't--there are other ways of seeing things... Say that we wanted to fix a festering infection. Would ignoring it, distancing ourselves from it, fix anything? Or would it only grow worse? I don't intend to stage some insurrection to change things, but I don't need to. Whether or not I agree with your viewpoint, things WILL change... because of the pervert that's High Princess." She sighed softly. "Regardless of my history with her, she has the same ideals as her father. As you. And she's next in line for the throne. Alisa has never been some meek wallflower who lets anyone step on her--except me of course, heh... when she becomes queen, things will change. I know for a fact she'll make it happen. If you wanted to change things, all you'd need to do is keep things from getting worse until she ascends the throne. If anyone can change hearts and minds, it's her. For all her faults... I don't think there's anyone else in any world who can inspire and move people like she can. Dumb pervert that she is." Quite the mixed signals coming from this little speech. But that's just how it was. She and Alisa had a lot of history, and despite everything, there was unfortunately no one in the world she respected more than that pointy-eared pervert. "Back to this again? I don't have "eyes" for anyone! Romance and I aren't made for each other. You're the one pining for a boyfriend, so YOU tell ME who you want, and you let me make it happen." "..? " Viola's eyes parted ways with the stars above her, blinking several times as they came into focus with the long white haired beauty of the island. WIth VIola laying back there in the sand, her view of the woman was a little on the awkward side, until she sat up suddenly! She seemed to be completely perplexed that this woman was even talking to her, especially fun after she spent so much time trying not to stare at her the entire time she had been on the island. That Kiana, she certainly had every Serenitian beat. "....Ah,ha..." A smile returned to her features, as her hand came up to rub the back of her head nervously. "You think so? ...I guess I am kind of cute, huh? " That smile turned into a small grin as she began to get to her feet, brushing off some of the sand from her legs, and hair afterword, before looking back to her. "I mean....thankyou! " It sure wasn't as if she didn't think she was pretty herself, she was quite confident in her own looks, but it was always nice to hear coming from someone else, especially that no one had ever really complimented her before! "He,he..Why not. If it brings you that much strength...You can count me in! " What a scene this would be. Viola had never actually played a game in her life, only slightly observing what they were doing, she had gathered a few idea's of how to play it, but the real question was, was her idea right? Meanwhile, Yuffie huffed in irritation, throwing up her arms in frustration at Cloud. "Excuse me, Chcocobo-head?!! I'm the best one here, it's you're fault! You probably spaced out! Hmph! " It was all thanks to the very pushy Hiyori, that Tifa was standing on the sidelines watching at all! She still hadn't quite processed everything fully, but she was getting better at not being so nervous all the time.Otherwise, she wouldn't of let Hiyori drag her here! "..Are you sure about me being in your team? " It was no surprise that this girl had a violent spike, and it was hard to control that strenghth! Someone on the other end might end up with a broken nose if she wasn't careful. "...I'm more worried about the other team..I don't want to accidently hurt them! " "Oh, he's going to regret that...Just you wait, Cloud! " Yuffie shot a evil glare towards the blonde, before hurrying off! He really should be worried more about her, as when he returned to his things, he might find them gone!

"You know, the more you deny things, the more it shows the guilty look on your face! Guilty look of a girl who finds soooomeone hot! It's okay to admit it to me, i'm not blind, you know. Besides, Kaden didn't exactly win that day, did he? I heard you had a little something to do with Ephraim's misfortune that time, a bad karma hex, something like that? He couldn't win even if it was against someone like....uh, Teresa? " Miya blinked at her next choice of words, choosing to....not say anything to that awkward statement. Probably best not to! To much information! "You're the greatest big sister in the world, you know that? ...But still, if you want me to be truly happy, then you have to do something for yourself. Stop denying romance, you deserve a happy life that doesn't revolve around me. I'll always be here for you, of course! Just...keep that in mind, okay? " She could only hope that eventually she would find the courage to say something, rather it be to Ephraim, or someone else she might of had eyes for. "Hmm? " Miya's eyes blinked slowly, the confused look on her face unintentionally rather adorable. "Huuuh?! Really...You didn't know that? " She paused a moment, thinking about it. It made sense, of course. Now that she thought about it, Carmen wasn't ever actually around her when she wandered the forest and it's kingdom, where the less friendly forest serenitians would do their best at avoiding Miya when she was near, or the braver ones with the mouths they weren't afraid to use. "..I mean....haha..I guess they wouldn't be that brave around you. Buncha losers! I have a reputation for being the most annoying person in the kingdom, you know. Not that I mind that title now days. I'm quite happy being me! " That was, a girl with so much energy and cheerfulness! Though it wasn't always just that, the fact that she was very spoiled seemed so also bring out some kind of jealousy and hate towards cute happy Miya! "Don't worry about it. It doesn't even bother me now, they're just boring losers, they're all just jealous of how cute I am. They only wish they could be as cute as us two! "
"It's also not as if they could just...change, once they become a Reaper, there is no turning back. Don't you think those like Viola, Velora and Alice would have done so by now if it was possible? It's..like a curse, a curse they can never undo. The only thing they can do is become stronger then it, which they did. They clearly fought against the darker power in them, and for some of them, it's a real struggle and almost impossible to fight against, probably why there is so little of good Reapers." As she continued, Miya listened to what she had to say, speaking only after she had finished. "...You have a lot more trust and positivity then I do, then.." She crossed her arms. "It's hard to see anything ever getting better. As great as Alisa is, it's impossible for me to believe those people can change their hearts. Look at how many years they've been living in this..darker kingdom? After what happened to the king, the entire Forest Kingdom became the most uncomfortably dark place.." "..Um, yes. It's important, more important then anything! Even if I have to help you find someone, and believe me, I will! ....h-Hey...You know, come to think of it. With all this talk of relationships, and happiness...It just came to me..." uh oh. "....What if, okay, I mean...It's been a lot of years since that terrible thing happened, so it isn't...to soon to think of this possibility. ....Queen...Althesa..." It really was a challenge for her to say her name properly. "....She lost the one person she loved most in the world, right..? ...It's because of that, she became..well, how she is now. Not happy, bitter....cold....heartless..." She really loved her Queen! "...Well! What if...I did a little work on possibilities for her? ..What if I help her find new love, if she can ever move on, if it's the right person....maybe things can become better sooner then we think! It all starts with her finding happiness again! " Oh boy. This was going to be her best idea ever.
