{{Blegh... hardly feel like posting, but I must try... not sure how it'll turn out}} Borderline, dead inside I don't mind, falling to pieces Count me in, violence Let's begin, feeding the sickness How do I simplify, dislocate The enemies on the way Tatsuo slowly approached the shrine-like object. He placed his palm to it and stepped back quickly while shielding his eyes from the sudden flare of light that could very likely be seen from the manor. When he lowered his arm and the spots cleared from his vision, he found himself with a serpent-like creature hovering all transparent-like in front of him and eyeing him in a way he felt was rather intrusive. The thing was like some cross between a snake and an electric eel, was about six feet in length by his rough estimate, and seemed far too intelligent for the creature it looked to be.
"You are the first to find me in many a decade, young one. The first to even sense me here. You have the power to free me from this confinement. If you agree to do so, I shall guide you for the rest of your life, until we part ways upon your death. Does this sound agreeable to you?" The voice that spoke was one that sounded wise beyond years, but still held a childish air about it. He thought on the offer for a while, letting the words sink in.
It took a while, but he eventually realised one important thing: The thing spoke in Japanese! "H-how do you know Japanese?" He responded in the same language, clearly surprised. He hadn't expected it to know his native tongue. But the thing... he needed a name, rather than continuing to call it a thing... chuckled in response.
"I looked into your mind and saw it was the language you were most familiar with. And you may call me Aapep." The thi--Aapep spoke, once more seeing into his thoughts. He scowled at the snake-thing, not happy at having his thoughts read.
"Don't look into my head teme!" He sounded like a pouting child, to his chagrin. The-- Aapep chuckled once more and asked him if he agreed to the terms of the deal. He thought for a little longer then nodded, almost to himself really, and vocally agreed. Aapep instructed him on what he needed to do to free him fully and not long after, the weak (in his opinion) seal was broken and Aapep looked more solid, though still slightly see-through.
Aapep slithered through the air to circle around him. "Foolish child... Had I ill intent towards you or any other, it would not be hard to kill you now. But, as I am no brute, I shall not bring harm to you young one. Let us return to your dwellings now..." Aapep seemed to not realize that Tatsuo was still rather well and fully lost. And even more so than he had been previously thanks to Tatsuo having followed his curiosity to the source of Youki he could feel from the serpent-thing. Which had settled around his shoulders like some kind of snakeskin scarf or something.Show me what it's like to dream in black and white So I can leave this world tonight Full of fear, ever clear I'll be here, fighting forever Curious, venomous You'll find me climbing to heaven Never mind, turn back time You'll be fine, I will get left behind

Nicholas sighed, looking out a window into the rain. It was only a drizzle now. Perhaps going for a walk to find the lost servant wouldn't be too bad. This Lord wasn't one to be scared of rain, or care of his clothing suffered for the soaking. He took a look at the skull in his hands, chuckling as he heard the mental groan from the fox. "Don't tell me ..."
"We're going for a walk," Nic confirmed, about to turn away from the window when he saw the flash of light from deep in the woods, and felt the waking of an unfamiliar power. The platinum-haired lord was quickly out the front door and back into the rain, heading for the source of the disturbance. Powerful things weren't always friendly, particularly to him. Necromancers weren't popular in any circles, really.
He expertly moved through the woods, Faust's skull tucked inside his jacket pocket, and only had to take the time it took Tatsuo to finish his deal--or perhaps a few more minutes than that--and came to a halt in the shrine's clearing, looking at the servant suspiciously. "..." He eyed the servants new 'scarf,' knowing full well it wasn't a mear article of clothing. "Just what exactly have you picked up?" he asked, crossing his arms, rain still dripping down through the gaps in the tree cover. "Though this might be a better conversation to have back where it's dry."

Borderline, dead inside I don't mind, falling to pieces Count me in, violence Let's begin, feeding the sickness How do I simplify, dislocate The enemies on the way The slight stirring of Aapep around his neck was the only warning he had that Nicholas was there. He still jumped a little in surprise, then looked guiltily at the lord he was serving(spying on). He nodded at the mention of going somewhere dry, though, and followed the man silently. He couldn't tell if they were headed back for the cave that they'd used last night to stay out of the rain, or back to the manor.
Aapep, for his part, remained looped casually around his shoulders and didn't move the slightest bit to avoid hinting at what he was. It seemed that Aapep didn't like Nicholas a great deal though.{{OOC: All i can think of right now... The Lord really didn't have any proper private place in the mansion--besides the third floor, but he also didn't want anyone up there besides Faust and himself--so he simply brought Tatsuo and the servant's new ... friend/accessory to the cave they'd shared the night before. "Alright. Seeing as you have a snake wrapped around your shoulder right now, I suppose you're not unfamiliar with odd things, then?" he asked, pulling out Faust's skull and letting the white familiar assume his full--if still ghostly--form. "Alright. Explain."
((It's perfectly alright to have short posts sometimes))

Borderline, dead inside I don't mind, falling to pieces Count me in, violence Let's begin, feeding the sickness How do I simplify, dislocate The enemies on the way Tatsuo followed after the other, silently thinking over the facts so he would be able to explain in a way that made sense to the blond lord. They arrived, not at the mansion like he'd thought, but at the cave again. He scratched the back of his neck, careful of the serpent-like being wrapped around his shoulders.
"Heh, no.. ever since I was little I was able to see wierd things that no one else could see, hear things that no one else could. I think it's because my family has a history of producing Onmyouji... people that exterminate and seal youkai..." He spoke slowly, more for the fact that he needed to remember the English words for what he wanted to say than anything else.
"In a way similar to how I found you and knew about there being something different about the skull, I felt a pull towards that... uh.. site. I only touched it and it was enough to awaken.... Aapep.. who told me that if I freed him, he would watch over me for the rest of my life..." Aapep chose then to cut in.
["I was rather taken by surprise when Tatsuo here awoke me from a long slumber... No one else has been able to in many a century. Though, you yourself are no mere human either, are you, Nicholas, to be carrying around something like Faust?"] The serpent had lifted it's head and unfurled itself so it was now floating around Tatsuo's head, lazily swimming through the air around his head.{{OOC: I'm not dead!
