I find adults can be JUST as rude and immature as children, sometimes even MORE so because they have that "I am an adult and you are a kid so I know everything and you know nothing" attitude.
And I think it depends on if they know you're a Vocaloid or not. If they didn't they'd be like"You're WEIRD!" if they did they'd be like "yo robot, rake my yard" so either way would be hard. >w<

I have to disagree, I think that people would really like you, not make fun of you...It might be annoying to have people like you just for your voice, but It wouldn't be all that hard~
Depending on the Vocaloid, btw, I don't think that /everyone/ would notice...I mean, look at Piko...or really any newer Vocaloid...just uhm...change your clothes / possible hairstyle, depending on what Vocaloid~
...unless I'm Iroha, /then/ I would mind~ (or any of the non-human ones, either)

I dunno. You could look different, but a lot would have to dye their hair to avoid those "What a rebellious teenage punk" stares. I don't think anyone would particularly like you for your voice. They would think it was a little/very extremely odd, with how robotic you'd sound.
Really, if people figured out you weren't human, they wouldn't treat you as such anymore. They'd start acting funny and saying things like "Wow, those Japanese people sure are amazing! Can it think for itself?"
So yes. Very hard.
