KALINKA KOVAK the one and only

Also Known As: Kali
Gender: Female
Appearance: Kali is porcelain pale, almost scarily so. Her eyes serve a steep contrast to her skin, dark and almost black, often seeming like two dark bruises on her face. She is merry and rosy, however, most often and avoids looking like a corpse. Her pale skin is 'marred' by freckles that she hates and covers with make up or an illusion when it suits her. Which is...well, pretty much all the time. Only those closest to her learn that she has freckles, and even then, they are sworn into secrecy.
Her hair is perhaps her most distinguishing feature, flaming red and down to her waist. When the sunlight hits it, just so, it almost seems as if her head is on fire. Her bangs sweep off to the side of her face, and she keeps it all out of her eyes in a large ponytail.
She constantly wears a black choker, imbued with magic that marks her as Zak's apprentice. A more apt description of the necklace is 'collar', as she has no choice but to obey any verbal commands he gives her. She has, however, found loopholes in this rule.
Most of her wardrobe is what many would describe as 'skanky', short skirts and tops that show off the perky breasts that she's rather proud of. However, she is not a slut; just a flirt. She has just as many pants as she does skirts, and always wears underwear. Frilly and lacy, but it's still underwear.
Her body shape is slim, and curvy. Her grandmother likes to point out that she's made to bear children, with hips to handle twins and breasts for feeding. Kali truly, truly hates it when they're referred to in this context. She's fairly short, though, and lacks the long legs that usually go with her physique. (She's a bit bitter about this.)
Standing at 5'3.5 (and don't you ever forget that .5!) and weighing in at 110 pounts, she doesn't cut a very formidable figure, but don't underestimate her. Posessing a bright, acid green magic, she is not afraid to blow up some heads or melt some faces.
After years of running around with Zak, and just from coming from the family she does, Kali is fairly lean and fit, able to hold her own in a physical fight and posessing endurance to rival a horse. She doesn't tire easily; something Lance is only too happy to take advantage of.
Her ears are pierced, twice on each, and she constantly keeps a pair of gold hoops, and a pair of turquoise studs in them.

Ability:Well, she's not a Zet kid, but she can use magic.

Personality:Kali's personality, in many ways, matches her hair. Fiery, and unwilling to go down without a fight, she has a spark that can burst into either excitement or anger at the slightest touch. Most of the time, however, she's happy, calm, coy, and sly. A fan of subterfuge, sometimes you won't even know she hates you. But if she hates you, she hates you. Vindictive to the core, she holds grudges, and will never forget a wrong done to her or one of her friends. Fiercely loyal, she won't stand for anyone hurting them; even if she often hurts them herself, from speaking without thinking, or acting without thinking, or...well, pretty much not thinking and being inconsiderate.
She's a very judgemental person, and is always quick to form an opinion. She's also quick to inform everyone of her opinion. Talkative, she loves to argue and to fight. This trait doesn't do well for her relationship with Lance, and they fight a lot. And then she sulks, and pouts. She's pretty good at it. Stubborn, she doesn't like to admit when she's wrong, and adores being right, though that has nothing to do with her being as stubborn as an angry old goat. She gloats a lot, and is embarassed easily.

Bio: Kali was, like most Kovaks, born in a rather 'ghetto' area of Aekea. Her childhood was nothing horrible, but she quickly learned what it meant to stand up for yourself. She also learned to stand up for others. Friend to a rather meek boy, she saw bullies targeting him daily. His life was hell, and she couldn't stand it.
She tried to help, but there really wasn't much such a tiny girl could do. At least, not until her outburst. It is an incident that her parents refer to by name only, and not in situations when they are pleased with her. 'The Outburst' left four children hospitalized, and Kali in very serious trouble. Her mother, thankfully, knew what was going on. Kali was magic, and it had just surfaced.
She was sent, of course, to various private classes, though the teacher they finally settled on was a man named Zak. Kali hated him with a fiery passion, but he did his job. She learned how to control her magic, and a multitude of useful spells. Training ended, however, when her Aunt Elisa died. The whole family was affected, though perhaps not as deeply as Viktor. It didn't take long for them to notice that he was no longer able to properly care for Katia, but no one had the heart to tell this to the proud man.
Instead, they sent Kali to watch over Katia. Unable to accept this as her sole objective, Kali quickly set to 'fixing' her uncle, tongue-lashing him out of the room and berating him back to work. She helped Katia with her school-work, and even rid her of a particularily nasty group of bullies. Katia and Viktor soon became as close to her as her own father and mother; and she was rightfully upset when the time came for her to leave.
Upon returning home, she found things were not as she had left them. Her parents were holding world war three nightly at the dinner table, tossing insults back and forth until it escalated into a full-blown screaming match. Things were thrown, broken; and then finally, they separated. Her mother, however, was unable to find another house to live in. So, they divided the house equally, and both stay there.
The situation is less than bearable. Kali was quick to let them know, and told them that if they didn't improve, she'd leave. They didn't take her seriously, and after yet another fight broke out, she packed her bags and left.

Only then did it occur to her that she had nowhere else to go. It took her a few hours, and a lot of phone calls, but she finally remembered Viktor and Katia's house. She hitchiked out to their house on Gambino Island, only to find it empty and deserted.
She was now homeless.
She wandered for a while, breaking into the house and sleeping in the porch for a night. The next day she headed to Viktor's company and asked for a meeting. They told her that she'd have to wait for a week. So, she did, squatting in his old house and buying food with the money that she'd had sense enough to bring with her.
When her uncle finally saw her, he was outraged. Not at her, but at his brother; also at his secretaries, for not letting her in immediately. He quickly whisked her off to his new home in Durem, and sent a very angry message to his brother, letting him know that when he knew how to care for a child, he could have his back. This prompted a bit of a feud fuelled on hypocricy, and a falling out between the two.
Kali, however, doesn't mind. She is quite happy living with her uncle and cousin, though her parents' behaviour does bother her. It also bothers her that they have done nothing to get her back.

'Significant' Other: Dunno if this is relevant, but Kali is currently dating Lance McCoy.
Her Uncle is not happy.

The Child

User Image ARTEMIS FOWL the second

Gender: Male

Appearance: Well kept, and very proper, Artemis has shaggy black hair that is combed off to the side. His eyes are a piercing, icy blue. Very pale. he spends most of his time behind a computer screen, and he looks it. He's very thin, with slender fingers to match, and little to no muscle definition. He refuses to wear regular clothes, demanding to wear suits at all times.

Ability: Dunno.

Personality: He is a know it all, but then, Artemis has every right. With an IQ so high it hurts normal people, he is a child genius; a prodigy. And he knows how to use it to better himself. And why shouldn't he? He does come from a family of criminals, after all. With his own Interpol file, and self built technology that even the military doesn't have yet, Artemis is truly a force to be reckoned with. And he knows it, too.
He has an ego, one so large, it could be bigger than even his IQ. Of course, said ego is not easily bruised. It affords him an inexhaustible confidence, so do not let it fool you if he seems defeated. Truly, he is just waiting for it all to come together and crash around your possibly pointed ears.
Yes, pointed. Despite his extremely scientific mind, Artemis has a bit of an obsession with Faeries.
Old enough to understand, yet young enough to still believe, his ambition and need to gain money lead him to capture and hold a faerie, Holly Short of the LEP for ransom. In return, he got a large amount of gold.

To be fair, the gold was not purely for his evil criminal deeds. It was an attempt to rescue his father. Deep down, Artemis is still a little boy, though he does blatantly refuse to admit it, even to himself. He considers himself an adult, and his childlike impulses confuse him. He does not understand and abhors puberty; going through it again would be hellish torture for him. It is not logical, and he cannot control it.

This need for control is a symptom of Artemis's growing OCD.
Obsessive compulsive, he adores order, fives, and abhors fours. Four, after all, sounds like the chinese word for death. He has an intense need for organization, arranging things around him by a multitude of things. Size is the most common, followed by shape, color, and sometimes even weight. Biggest to smallest is his greatest compulsion, by far, and when he is flustered, he organizes the things in the room by that first. If it gets worst, the rest comes into play.

Bio: Born into the Fowl family, it was only natural that Artemis became a criminal mastermind. The Fowls boast a long line of criminals; and he is just the latest. They are famous around the globe; and even beneath it. Many years ago, decades, centuries even, a prophecy was written by a phlegm reader of an unknown race. It told of a boy; Fowl by name, and foul by nature, who would wrest gold from the hands of the people, and become a well known force within their society.

With a father gone missing in the Russian Arctic, their extremely rich empire began to go down the drain. This is what lead Artemis to seek something no other man had before. Fairy gold. Many mocked, though his loyal servant, confidant, and bodyguard did not. With Butler's help, Artemis scoured the globe, searching through many frauds until he finally found a faerie to prove his theory. One that would give him the key to his whole scheme. The Book. Which, in essence, is the bible of the faeries. It took the young genius little time to translate the Gnommish text (though he did have some difficulty with it).
Artemis knew that he had to work fast. The heist needed to be done while he was young enough to still believe, and old enough to pull it off. Accompanied by the ever present Butler, he kidnapped and held for ransom one Holly Short of the LEP. After a dangerous game of cat and mouse, Artemis walked away with a fortune in faerie gold; and some of their technology, too.
With the gold he won, he funded the search for his father, finally finding him in the hands of the Russian Mafia; the ones who shot his ship down in the first place. He did this, all whilst fighting off the pixie who would become his Nemesis, Opal Koboi, who would threaten the faerie population three more times.
Some of the danger was imposed on them by none other than Artemis himself, and though he did save them many times, he is always the first they blame when something goes wrong.

With all of this interaction between Artemis and the faeries, it was inevitable that he dabble in the power that they had over him. Magic. In a disembodied state, Artemis could not help but scoop up some abandoned magic. All seemed fine; however, it had adverse effects on him. He began to develop a disease, known as the Atlantis Complex.

Orion

Despite the fact that they reside in the same body, Orion and Artemis are completely different people - sort of.

A side effect of the Atlantis Complex, Orion is Artemis's alternate personality; and very different from him on many points. They share the same level of intelligence, though Orion applies his in much different ways.

Childish, and over-familiar, Orion is the side of Artemis that he has locked away; his childhood. He is painfully optimistic, to the point of being annoying; though it is not merely his optimism that makes him so irritating. He speaks as if he is a knight in a fantastical dragon-slaying story, referring to Foaly as his noble steed, and Holly as his 'fair maiden', he pays no mind to their actual personalities, and seems to insert his own beliefs upon them, and blissfully ignores the real world. He seems to exist in a strange fantasy world, in which he is the main character, a heroic knight, and everyone else is his fantastic side kicks.

If he makes an appearance at all, Orion would not form until late in the Child stage, or the Teen stage, as he will not be formed until Artemis contracts the Atlantis Complex disease.

Planned Relationships

Kali - Though she isn't smarter than he is, his 'mother' seems onto every one of his schemes. Maybe it's magic. He's trying to work around it, though without much luck. He does respect her, though he doesn't often listen to her.
Dimitri - Dimitri is halfway between a bully and a protector. He isn't afraid to punch Arty, and he seems to enjoy it. However, if Arty needs muscle, he can always go to Dimitri, who is only too happy to help.
Katia - She reminds Arty of himself, and so he hopes to groom her into the perfect criminal side kick.
Viktor - He's just like Butler, and Artemis adores it. If Kali is mad, he goes running for Viktor; except, he doesn't always side with Arty...
Luka - A nuciance, and a very strange creature. Arty doesn't much like him, but can see that he has his uses.
Lance - Arty thinks he's an idiot, but hopes to use him in the future. He seems the type who would be easy to manipulate.
Cain - Like Luka, he has his uses, so Arty is going to put up with him.

Plans involving Artemis

- As he grows, Arty will determinedly hunt down and try to kidnap other fae children in the shop, such as Risa and Loki. Not that I'm saying he'll succeed, but he is terribly crafty.
- Lacking Butler, Arty will probably get his a** kicked. A lot. Therefor, he needs an a** kicking friend. Maybe Dimitri. Dimitri would totally kick asses.
- Upon learning that Kali has a kid, Viktor will probably try and kill Lance; not that it's his fault in any way shape or form, he's prolly just looking for an excuse to do it.
- Artemis will not appreciate Kali not putting him in suits, or feeding him 'commoner' food.
